The condition for the commissioning setting was a supposed guinea worm outbreak that has been
reported in three Local Government Areas of Akoko town in Ondo State Nigeria by the State's
Ministry of Health among people aged 6–46 years. Their rationale was based on high density of
cases in Ise, Auga–Okemole and Iboropa areas of Akoko local government areas, after WHO had
declared Nigeria free of the infection. Based on continuous surveillance and disease notification, it
seems guinea worm is a WHO's notifiable infectious disease, and Nigeria is a party to it. According
to WHO 2000), there is a need for immediate action whenever any WHO notifiable diseases is
spotted. Hence a stakeholders meeting was held with the locals, government officials and
community health workers for immediate Health Needs Assessment. The population profiling data
was from national surveys and hospital records.
Analysis of data was done, the case was prioritized, procurement done, and prompt intervention
followed with full participation of all necessary stakeholders. Effective Monitoring and Evaluation
would be carried out quarterly after implementation: this monitoring and evaluation will be done by
the commissioners themselves.

The Plan For Eden Bay
When I was first approached to research possible systems for the fleet, I knew it was going to be a
massive under taking. I had no guide, just a few questions from Dawn about how the recommended
system would address certain issues. There were countless hours of research looking at each
possible program, weighting the pros and cons of each, and then final reaching a conclusion to
which system to recommend for Eden Bay. Each of the fleet repair systems are good, solid
programs, however there is only one which I believe would suit the needs of Eden Bay. I found a
few different options at beginning of my research and I slowly began to review each product.
Several of the systems were thrown out early on, some because the cost was of the program was
running too high, or I thought the system was not user friendly, or even because I thought product
just would not benefit Eden Bay in the long term. While I liked many of the systems, it ultimately
came down to three programs: The Fleet Maintenance Pro by Innovative Maintenance Systems, the
Desktop Enterprise Edition by Manager Plus or Merchants Fleet Program. When it came time to
make my decision, the Fleet Maintience Pro stood out above the rest.
My first step was to do a general search online of fleet software to see what I could discover. After
the search, I narrowed it down to six systems to investigate. Using the main search results, I then did
a cusitorty look around the websites for each of the six main software programs.

Preventing The Health Care System
In fear of financial devastation, my aunt struggled with accruing medical debt because she could not
afford health insurance for her two young boys. Although a working single mother, she fell above
the federal poverty line for the state of Florida inhibiting health care access for her two sons. My
aunt was faced with the choice of paying her household bills and ensuring there was food on the
table or spending her money on health insurance. Unfortunately, hospital visits are inevitable with
two active boys. One cousin actually fractured his skull requiring an emergency room visit and CT
scans, which took two years for my aunt to fully pay for. These experiences, which many Americans
will encounter, cause the majority of the population to avoid the health care system unless
confronted with dire circumstances. Our health care system deters undeserved populations and
uninsured individuals from participating in routine check–ups or visiting primary care physicians,
contributing decreasing practice of preventative care. As human beings, it is our civil duty to ensure
the well being of the community and not just that of the individual. By implementing health care as
a basic right, we will expand preventative care practice in the United States ultimately leading to

My practical experience was done at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. I worked with LTC Sheryl
Bedno, who is the Chief of Preventive Medicine here at Ft. Bragg. My role was as an observer on an
ongoing study titled, "Dietary Supplement use on Heat Injuries among Military Personnel". The
study was conducted by administering surveys to soldiers that were being seen by medical staff at
the Department of Preventive Medicine.
The goals were to be able to understand what the possible effects of dietary supplement use are on
the body, especially during extreme heat, to find out why soldiers decided on using supplements. To
achieve these goals, I observed each survey that was administered and took mental note of their
responses (as I was prohibited from writing in the participant 's presence). I did additional research
and a literature review on methods of use, reasons for use, dangers of use and alternatives to using.
The intention of the study was to find a more effective way for physicians to treat heat injuries.
The popular supplement ingredient, 1,3 dimethylamine (DMAA) was linked to several fatalities and

The topic I have decided to research is the topic of Environmental Health. The goal of this topic is to
promote health for all though a healthy environment. I picked this topic because many health related
problems today revolve around environmental factors, like lung disease, asthma, skin cancer, and
chemical exposures. Since, everyday people come in contact with their surroundings it is important
to make the air we breathe, the water we drink, the homes and the security of a community are safe
and do not affect the public in a negative matter. Another important factor in environmental health is
to make sure the communities are not in contact with hazardous wastes or toxic substances. Both of
these can severely affect a person's health and can lead to major health problems in the future. "The
World Health Organization (WHO) defines environment, as it relates to health, as all the physical,

Creating a healthy environment is important for all people since we spent our entire lives interacting

Before the Affordable Care Act (ACA) got enacted, many Americans did not receive the

I am employed as a Maintenance Manager at the Strand Palace Hotel in London. I am responsible
for the day to day maintenance of the whole building, also refurbishments of guest rooms and
corridors, public areas and back of house areas. I am working with a team of 15 technicians and 4
shift engineers, all with different skills. Every first and last hour of my day will involve planning
tasks to be completed, ranging from fixing any breakdowns of machinery to hanging a mirror in the
admin office. As we are in the hospitality and leisure industry guest/customer satisfaction is key. We
have set organisational targets where our aim to achieve 100%.

Using this schedule I allocated tasks to the appropriate technician on each day and always have at
least one technician on PPM. We also have service contractors for the up keeping of catering
equipment. As mentioned before on the first and last hour of the day is when the planning and
allocating takes place. On the last hour, I will walk around public areas, back of house and note
anything specific that requires our attention. Then from the schedule for areas, I will start allocating
technicians there tasks in line with their capabilities, skill set, experience and the next day's staffing
levels. Then using the hotels booking system I will check for occupancy levels and room
availabilities to compile a list of rooms for PPM. I will then compile lists for each technician. The
next morning, in the first hour of my day the lists together with copies of check sheets, I will pass
them on the relevant technicians. If there is anything out of norm I will take extra time with a
technician to go the task to see its successful completion. Then when appropriate I will go round and
visit technicians and monitor their progress. In most cases the technicians has completed the giving
task and will visit the maintenance office to leave the complete check sheet in my in tray.
