If Modern Management System derived from
the Bible, then Indian Management System
could have roots in the old texts like Puranas.
Indra (Sakra): Successful God
Swarga = Hunger is
indulged, but under siege.
King = Powerful,
Prosperous but insecured
Laxmi – Chanchala – Lokhitera – Unpredictable path – Always moving –
Businessman plans to get back.
Indra chases Laxmi – But Laxmi walks in one direction - towards Vishnu – Vishnu
temples - Laxmi Vallabh – Place where Laxmi resides.
Means: Some people run after the money – talent – numbers, but some people
attract business - investment – talent – numbers. How do you see yourself, Indra
or Vishnu?
!!! This is the Indian model of Sustainable Business !!!
• Is your business center a temple, where all the wishes of customer’s
are fulfilled?
• Do you get repeat order & the customer is giving your reference?
Bills passed, Client is happy with you, Payment on time,
Service Quality, After sale service, etc.
Ex: Amazon (Trillion Dollars) becoming Laxmi Vallabh.
• Today’s corporate have War Room, Tension, Ranabhumi. So India is
no more “सोने की चिड़िया”.
• Then how to make Rangabhumi: Focus on strategy and tactics.
Ask yourself:
• Garuda Drishti – Far Sightedness - Strategy – Long term benefit
• Sarpa Drishti – Near Sightedness – Tactic – Short term benefit
• Both are useful, but both are opposite. Will balancing both impact
business positively?. Are you satisfying the needs of the people?.
Vishnu, the Universal Manager is called as
“Ranganath”
God of Bhook (Demand) – Kamadeva
• Bhook – Bhog – Hunger is an important concept in Puranas. Only
difference between biotic & abiotic.
• Where there is demand, there is Market & so, does supply. To
increase the market, create the demand, by Kamadeva. Tapasvi do
not have affinity for demand.
• Bow of sugarcane
• Bow string of butterflies & bees
• Arrow of flowers – White Lotus, Blue
Lotus, Ashoka, Mango, Jasmine
Business involves – Customer, Employee, Shareholder, Society (Job, Product, Service)
Business Organisation - an Ecosystem – where Laxmi circulates happily. Educating the new generation to prepare
themselves for keeping up the Business Ecosystem intact. Bhishma should not interfere always.
Indra is all about self-centeredness, who does not come down for the people like Vishnu from Vaikuntha.
People centric. Today 10 customers, Can I have 100 tomorrow? Can I satisfy the needs of the growing economy?
Today 1000 people working, Can I give 10, 000 jobs tomorrow?
Transform yourself, depending on the needs of the market to solve problems. Sometimes Ram, sometimes Krishna. Change
your role as per the change in the market. Don’t create demand, satisfy demand because bhook is never ending.
