Research is a complex task that demands a lot of effort and close attention to detail. The research becomes more focused when we discuss nursing, a very important profession. When pursuing their courses, nursing graduates or post-graduates primarily conduct two types of research. Quantitative and qualitative research are these. By using the researcher as a tool for data gathering, the qualitative research technique seeks to answer questions about the how or why of a particular phenomenon. Questions about the elements of a phenomenon may also have an impact on qualitative research. A few examples of qualitative methods utilized in nursing research are grounded theory, phenomenology, ethnography, and subjective characterization. The best technique is chosen based on the research question. Every technique has its own assumptions and objectives.
