A young veterinary doctor presented with dysphagia and drooling after ingesting an olive. During an endoscopy under general anesthesia, a large olive was found and removed 28 cm from his teeth. He reported a similar prior incident that was treated with an NG tube. The doctor recommended further testing with a contrast esophagram and CT scan to check for an underlying esophageal narrowing, as recurrent foreign body ingestion could indicate such an issue.
