3. In December 2019, the World Health Organization was
alerted to several cases of pneumonia in Wuhan, China. The
virus responsible for the disease did not match any other
known virus. On January 7, 2020, China confirmed that a
new virus from the coronavirus family had been identified
that was responsible for this new disease called COVID-19.
For more information, see the Situation of the coronavirus
(COVID-19) in Québec page.
Some viruses in the coronavirus family cause disease in
animals, while others cause disease in humans.
Coronaviruses that cause disease in humans can be spread
by close contact between people. In rare cases,
coronaviruses that infect animals can also infect people.
Like SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19, two
other coronaviruses are spread from animals to humans and
cause or have caused serious disease in humans, namely,
SARS-CoV in 2003 and MERS-CoV since 2012.
5. SYMPTOMS AND TREATMENT
The main symptoms of COVID-19 are as follows:
fever:
in children: 38°C (100.4°F) and above (rectal temperature),
in adults: 38°C (100.4°F) and above (oral temperature),
in older adults: 37.8°C (100°F) and above (oral temperature),
or 1.1°C above the person's usual value;
a new cough or a cough that gets worse;
difficulty breathing;
or
sudden loss of sense of smell without nasal congestion, with or without loss of
taste.
The symptoms can be mild and similar to cold symptoms. They can also be
more severe, like those associated with pneumonia and respiratory failure.
People most at risk of dying from complications are those:
with a weak immune system;
with a chronic disease such as diabetes or heart, lung and kidney disease;
age 70 and older.

7. Coronaviruses are large pleomorphic spherical particles with bulbous
surface projections. The average diameter of the virus particles is
around 120 nm (.12 μm). The diameter of the envelope is ~80 nm (.08
μm) and the spikes are ~20 nm (.02 μm) long. The envelope of the virus
in electron micrographs appears as a distinct pair of electron dense
shells.
The viral envelope consists of a lipid bilayer where the membrane (M),
envelope (E) and spike (S) structural proteins are anchored.[40] A subset
of coronaviruses (specifically the members of betacoronavirus subgroup
A) also have a shorter spike-like surface protein called hemagglutinin
esterase (HE).
Inside the envelope, there is the nucleocapsid, which is formed from
multiple copies of the nucleocapsid (N) protein, which are bound to the
positive-sense single-stranded RNA genome in a continuous beads-on-
a-string type conformation.The lipid bilayer envelope, membrane
proteins, and nucleocapsid protect the virus when it is outside the host
cell.

11. Prevention of corona virus
You’re probably really worried about the new COVID-19 coronavir
especially if there are confirmed cases near you. Fortunately,
you can take action to protect yourself and your family
from contracting the infection.
Simple things like staying home whenever possible,
avoiding sick people, washing your hands often, and
disinfecting high-touch surfaces can help you stay well.
If you suspect you may be sick, call your doctor or your local
health department immediatel .
Then, stay home until they tell you to seek medical care.[1]
13. Prevention method 1
Wash your hands with soap and water to minimize your infection
risk. The best way to prevent COVID-19 is to wash your hands as often as
possible. Wet your hands with warm water, then apply a mild soap. Work
the soap into a lather for 20-30 seconds, then rinse your hands clean under
warm running water. This is about how long it takes to sing the "Happy
Birthday" song to yourself twice.[2]The World Health Organization
recommends not just rubbing your hands palm to palm, but interlacing and
interlocking your fingers in a variety of different ways to make sure every
surface is clean. Use the paper towel you dry your hands off with to turn off
the faucet. [3]
Always wash your hands before you eat or drink anything. However, it’s also
best to wash your hands anytime you’re out in public or after you’re around
someone you suspect may be sick.
If you can't wash your hands, use a hand sanitizer that contains 60-95%
alcohol. Alcohol percentages higher than 95% are actually less effective
15. PREVENTION METHOD 2
Keep your hands away from your eyes,
nose, and mouth. You may come into
contact with coronavirus on a surface, like a
doorknob or countertop. When this happens,
the germs can linger on your hands, so you
can easily infect yourself if you touch your
face with dirty hands. Avoid touching your
eyes, nose, and mouth in case the virus is on
your skin.[5]If you need to touch your face,
wash your hands first so you’re less likely to
infect yourself.
17. Stay away from people who are coughing or
sneezing. Since COVID-19 is a respiratory infection,
coughing and sneezing are common symptoms.
Additionally, coughing and sneezing both release the
virus into the air, so they may increase your risk of
infection. Keep your distance from people who
appear to have symptoms of an upper respiratory
infection.If it’s appropriate, ask the person to stay
away from you. You could say, “I noticed you were
coughing. I hope you feel better soon, but please
keep your distance so I don’t get sick.”
If you know someone has been around sick people,
it’s a good idea to distance yourself from them, too.
Prevention method 3
19. Maintain a distance of 6 ft (1.8 m) between you
and others when you go out. You may need to
leave your home to shop for groceries or get fresh air.
To protect yourself while you’re out, make sure you
don’t get too close to other people. In general, keep a
6 ft (1.8 m) circle of personal space around you.[14]If
someone is getting too close to you, move away and
kindly remind them that the CDC recommends
maintaining a 6 ft (1.8 m) gap. Say, “Hey, I’m not
trying to be rude, but I’d like to maintain some space
between us like the CDC recommends.”

20. SOCIAL IMPACT
Coronavirus outbreak was first reported in Wuhan, China
on 31 December, 2019. Before reading in detail about the
impact, first, let us study about coronavirus.
Coronavirus (CoV) is a large family of viruses that causes
illness. It ranges from the common cold to more severe
diseases like Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-
CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-
CoV). The novel coronavirus is a new strain of virus that
has not been identified in human so far.
WHO is working closely with global experts, governments,
and other health organisations to provide advice to the
countries about precautionary and preventive measures.
21. Asian stocks have crashed,local companies have lost money,especially
in tourism,aviation,sales(Aliexpress),industry(Hyundai)
Other international companies with factories in the far east and Italy
have also suffered loses;
The loses are between 300 billion and 1.1 trilion(US) dollars worldwide;
Thretnd of the protests and recession in Hongkong;
Disturbance of venetian carnaval,mass shoping in northen Italy;
