With increasing competition, every business
needs to differentiate itself. Ensuring your sales

an ideal place to start. Sales Service Essentials
training improves customer service skills by
focusing on promoting additional products
and services through effective questioning
techniques.
This is an essential, flexible and rewarding
experience - and for eligible organisations it is
being fully funded by the European Social Fund
so there is no cost to you.

Who is Sales Service
Essentials suitable for?
Sales Service training is essential for anyone
working in a sales environment, particulary
those who have a high degree of direct
customer contact.
If you have more than two people, Sales
Service Essentials can be delivered
exclusively within your business. If you
meet the eligibility criteria this training is
fully funded for new or exisiting employees
aged 19 or over who work at least 16 hours
a week and meet UK residency criteria.

The learning in detail
Sales Service Essentials training offers a balance of
on and off the job training, independent study and
the completion of both knowledge and competence
based assessments. The focus is on delivering a high
level of customer service. This is achieved by improving
understanding of the selling process and developing
effective customer questioning skills to enhance the
customer relationship.

Fast facts:
• Delivered over four two-hour
workplace sessions
• Estimated 95 learning hours over 13
weeks
• Suitable for all sales related employees
• Option of additional units to provide a
nationally recognised qualification

Progression
Employees can progress to complete a 12-month Level
2 Customer Service Apprenticeship programme. This
apprenticeship is suitable for any employees working
in a customer-facing role at an operational level, for
more than 30 hours a week and is delivered by our
experienced teams on your site. Partial Government
funding is available subject to eligibility but depending
on the age of the employee you may need to contribute
to the training costs.

How much time do workers need to
be released for and commit to?
Sales Service Essentials training consits of four two-hour
training sessions at your workplace. Learners will need to
complete one workbook, which takes approximately four
hours, and conduct research between these sessions.

Sales Service Essentials training improves customer service skills by focusing on promoting additional products and services through effective questioning techniques. Sales Service training is essential for anyone working in a sales environment, particulary those who have a high degree of direct customer contact. If you have more than two people, Sales Service Essentials can be delivered exclusively within your business. If you meet the eligibility criteria this training is fully funded for new or exisiting employees aged 19 or over who work at least 16 hours a week and meet UK residency criteria. The learning in detail Sales Service Essentials training offers a balance of on and off the job training, independent study and the completion of both knowledge and competence based assessments. The focus is on delivering a high level of customer service. This is achieved by improving understanding of the selling process and developing effective customer questioning skills to enhance the customer relationship. Fast facts: • Delivered over four two-hour workplace sessions • Estimated 95 learning hours over 13 weeks • Suitable for all sales related employees • Option of additional units to provide a nationally recognised qualification Progression Employees can progress to complete a 12-month Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship programme. This apprenticeship is suitable for any employees working in a customer-facing role at an operational level, for more than 30 hours a week and is delivered by our experienced teams on your site. Partial Government funding is available subject to eligibility but depending on the age of the employee you may need to contribute to the training costs. How much time do workers need to be released for and commit to? Sales Service Essentials training consits of four two-hour training sessions at your workplace. Learners will need to complete one workbook, which takes approximately four hours, and conduct research between these sessions. Why Pathway Group?
