What have you learnt about
technologies from the
process of constructing
this product?

2. I used many differently
technologies whilst creating my
magazine and have learnt a lot from
them all. I had never used any of
these technologies before the
creation of my magazine and so
have learned an immense amount
of knowledge from them.

3. I used Photoshop to create the cover of my
magazine. I discovered that Photoshop can
be used to highlight or darken areas on the
face as well as hide blemishes to make my
model look perfect. I was able to define
areas on my models face, for example, the
cheekbones. I used the burn tool to do this.
I also learned how to take bits of my
background and copy it into areas I wanted
to cover, so that it blended with the
background.

4. I used Illustrator to create my masthead. We had a
class induction for this technology as it was new to
us all. We learned different techniques to make our
masthead unique and stand out from others. It was
slightly hard to get a grip of but once I played
around with it for a bit, I was able to create a
masthead that I was happy with. I used different
ideas from dragging out parts of my letters, to
making the first letter extremely large compared to
the others. I felt that something simplistic suited my
genre more and so decided to just use a
shadowing effect on my masthead to make it stand
out from the background.

5. Timetoast was also a
brand new
technology I had
never used. It
allowed me to stay
organised with my
media coursework
so that I was able to
meet deadlines and
stay on top of my
work. I was also
taught how to
change deadline
dates so that if I
wanted to improve a
piece of work, I was

6. Lastly, blogger was a complete new thing
introduced to me at the start of the year. I
used blogger to upload my work and to blog
online. I learned not only how to upload
images but how to embed things such as
time toast as well as YouTube links which I
created videos on especially to blog.
