3. About Myself
I am 陳芷葶. I was born on October 5th. I
lived in a city called Changhua. It’s not a
big city, but it’s great place to live. I like to
read books and watch TV during my free
time. Chocolate is my favorite food. I want
to be an English teacher in the future.
4. Why I want to be an English teacher
I studied at the high school, which took
highly of English. Therefore, we had two kinds
of English class. One was foreign teacher class.
It made us feel learning English was a great
thing. There were some interesting topics, such
as in different festivals western people would
have different activities. In Halloween, the
teacher would let us watch scary movie. And
asked us to do treat or trick. We would have to
do some talk shows, sing English songs, create
our own stories and so on.
5. However, another English teacher was a
Taiwanese, she taught us in a tradition way
that was totally different from the class of that
foreign teacher. She thought this was the best
way to learn English. For example, she asked
us to recite the texts and vocabularies. At first,
I didn’t think this kind of teaching would walk
well. I felt bored to memorize all of them, but
when it came to tests. I found out that it was
really helpful.
