2. A Little about Me!
• Hi, my name is Erica Jackson
and I am from Brookhaven, Ms.
I am a mom of two handsome
boys Eric who is 10 and Ethan
who is 5. I was born and raised
on the south end of the small
town of Brookhaven. My
neighborhood consist of middle
and lower class families.
3. Family Structure
• Growing up my family was a middle-class family. My
daddy was a garbage man for the county and my mama was
a surgical technologist for University of Mississippi Medical
Center. Before my mama and daddy got together my dad
had five boys from his first marriage (who by the way are
10-15 year age difference from my sister and I) and when
she died he met my mama my twin sister and I were born.
My family believes in staying connected with each other we
will always come together and just fellowship with each
other both sides.
4. School Structures
•During preschool I attended a family-owned preschool named Cornerstone
Preschool in Brookhaven, Ms. Cornerstone was a preschool for middle to
low income families. For Kindergarten through 12th grade education I
attended public school through the Brookhaven School District. After
graduating from high school I attended Alcorn State University in Lorman,
Ms. Alcorn is a public university and historically black university
(HBCU).
5. My Hobbies
•When I am not working or doing school work I like to spend
time with my family, listening to 90s RnB, reading (I love
mystery novels), and watching tv. I love watch shows like
“Murder She Wrote”, Diagnosis Murder, Tyler Perry’s Sistas,
and game shows.
6. The End
I am glad to be apart of this class with you all and it’s a pleasure to meet
you all!
