3. Synopsis of what I want to happen in the opening sequence:
• Within the opening sequence I want shots of actions associated with
the protagonist’s personality – so the audience can gather a sense of
what they are like. For example the character is violent so a shot of
them punching may be shown, though I do not actually want the
character to be shown, I want suspense to be created.
• I want the sequence to be dimly lit so the audience are fearful of
what is ‘lurking in the dark’. Furthermore, there to be fast-paced cuts
so the audience are kept entertained and on their feet, and eerie,
dark music to creates enigma and anticipation.
• I want key features of Thriller films to be shown, for example shots of
dripping blood and knifes and guns to set a violent tone.
