change of political leadership; democracy was eradicated, and totalitarianism took its place. Nazi

statistics dealing with competitive gaming's growth. In a interview with TechCrunch, Sundance
DiGiovanni, the CEO of the MLG, the largest tournament provider in America, said" MLG also told
TechCrunch that it saw a 600% growth in its audience in the past three years, and now has an
advertising completion rate of more than 90%."() This statement is good because it gives clear
statistics without stating an opinion or disregarding others beliefs. While the main argument for the
pro eSports becoming a sport side was growth and similar dedication and mental fortitude, the
community that is against eSports being considered a traditional sport are arguing about the physical
aspects of gaming. Colleen Greene, wellness coordinator for MFit, the health promotion division of
the U–M Health System says, in a paper by Katie Vloet, "Virtual gaming is no replacement for real
exercise," Greene says. "It's a place to start, though. Kids can have fun doing it, they can feel a little
better about actually trying the sport or activity."(Vloet)This argument is backed up by her specialty
in health and is further validated by her saying that it can be used as a starting point to real exercise
showing that she is considerate of other peoples opinion while still sticking

Doping is a Fool’s Game
All athletes of all sports on a professional level must be required to undergo drug testing for
performance enhancing drugs prior to participating in any sporting event to ensure an equal level
playing field for all competing athletes, no matter the sport. Furthermore, performance enhancing
drugs are illegal and must remain this way in order to keep fairness in the competitive world of
sports.
The bottom line is that athletes should not be able to do performance enhancing drugs and continue
to be allowed to performance in these sports. The unfairness of doing these drugs does not allow for
a fair game. Ultimately, these cheating athletes are superior in the field and dominate the other
athletes that do not take steroids and how can you call that a fair game when the athletes are not
equal in performance due to a enhancing drug.
To further the argument, performance enhancing drugs must remain against the law to protect the
athlete's health and well being. If today's athletes are going to be so careless and take these drugs,
we as a society must step in and take control of what these athletes are putting in their bodies. And if
they continue to break the law by taking performance enhancing drugs, then they must suffer the
consequences by possibly being banned from the sport for an extended period of time or a lifetime
ban, which is would a result of their salaries and livelihood, endorsements and possible prison time.

This math internal assessment aims to consider the trends of the wining men gold medalist's pole
vault height from 1932 to 2008, and predicting 1940 and 1944 record, when the Olympic games
were not held due to the world war.

Governments currently show great interest in sport mega–events investment since that they may

generate a 'feel–good' factor among citizens and inspire grassroots participation (Grix and

When using this linear function, we can see that the function is somewhat accurate for the years

Games also featured many collective events in which small and big teams compete. And so, in this
article, I thought I would take a look at the dynamics of collective rather than individual
performance and try to answer the question: "how can you as a manager get the best out of your
team members?"
Let me say upfront that pay, praise and promotion do have some effect on motivation levels in the
workplace but that a manager just using these P 's will run into deep–seated engagement issues.

The modern Olympic movement was shaped through the soaring advocation of women's rights (2,
8). An anonymous photographer (#2), in the 1908 Olympic games held in Great Britain where only
2 percent of women participated in the games, presents a photograph of Sybil Newall, a female
British competitor at the games, and advocates women participating in the games. This photographer
might have this view because he or she is a feminist that took place in the women suffrage
movement and is baffled that solely two percent of athletes were women, and is urging the Olympics
to make a great change. Hassiva Boulmerka (#8), an Algerian competitor that engaged in the 1992
games held in Spain where 29 percent of the athletes were women, believes that every woman has
the ability of becoming an athlete, and must strengthen their mind and conscious, not just their body,
to overcome these social challenges. Boulmerka, as a woman participant, may have this belief
because she has underwent these obstacles as well, and wishes to motivate women in Spain to have

Muscular Christianity Is Viewed As Courage And Confidence
Muscular Christianity is viewed as courage and confidence one can have. It is seen through a
particular setting such as in a sport like a football. It allows people to have faith and hope in
themselves that they can achieve in something no matter how much criticism they endure.
According to Putney's "God's in the Gym" Muscular Christianity is an idea that lets people honor or
celebrate their bodies. Many hoped that physical experience might increase release from body
rejecting and social limitations. Although sports were denied in some religions due its belief that it
would take away peoples' devotions of their spiritual being, some people were in favor of it.
Although Muscular Christianity was a concept that people had by praying to God to be better at a
sport, this idea is currently dying down. There are some contemporary examples that show Muscular
Christianity still exists today but without religiously relying on and the use of God. People that play
popular sports such as football players, female champions, the still growing YMCA, and the striving
athletes in the Olympic games all have faith in themselves and do not need God. They all have
shown great achievement in their field with the help of Muscular Christianity without the need of
God's faith. However, the movie "Chariots of Fire" shows an immense amount of Muscular
Christianity but is not considered a contemporary example of it due to the religion limitations
portrayed.

The Olympic Games are a worldwide competition that brings people of different cultures and
backgrounds into one united area where they compete in their specialized sports. These events,
however, are not purely entertainment like they should have been. Today's societies are more

The Mexico City Olympics in 1968 was a different yet similar incident where racism, closely related
to anti–Semitism in the way society views the rights of people of all races and kinds. United States
athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos, African American males, competed in the 200 meter race
and won first and third place respectively. When they went on the podium the men didn't wear their
shoes revealing black socks, they wore black track uniforms and when were given their medals they
revealed black gloves on their hands while putting their fists in the air as an act of representing the
Black Power movement. Later on the two athletes were banned from the Olympic village because of

growing. Once a person is infected they will may experience a combination of fever, headache, rash,

persons who survive after becoming infected with the virus it is believed that they will have a type
of immunity that will prevent another infection from occurring (World Health Organization, 2016).

Adidas was created in 1924 in Herzogenaurach a small town just outside Nurnberg in Germany. The
company's headquarters are still located in Herzogenaurach in Germany with subsidiaries in 60
countries. Adolf "Adi" Dassler was the founder of Adidas and he started to produce his own sports
shoes in his mother's wash kitchen. Adolf's brother named Rudolf Dassler joined the business right
after World War I. The company started in 1924 called Gebruder Dassler OHG, and began to
manufacturing shoes for athletes (www.adidas–group.com). On August 18, 1949 the company
registered the name of Adidas AG from "Adi" (a nickname for Adolf) and "Das" (from "Dassler")
starting again after the brothers split up in 1947. After the brothers split up, Rudolf Dassler created
the firm Puma and they became big business rivals in their own home town.
The registration of the soon–to–become famous Adidas "3 stripes" was done on the same day as the
trademark for Adidas and so they have been ever since. Adi Dassler was known for his big interest

How Sports Can Help Someone Out Socially
1) Sports have played an important role in my life ever since I was very young. Because of sports, I
am very confident in myself. Although many people believe sports are just to have fun and stay
active, I believe that their influence leaves more behind. I believe that playing sports can help
someone out socially, physically, and mentally. Participating in sports has completely and utterly
transformed me into the person that I am today.
2) I believe playing sports can help many people throughout their long life and also through many
years of school. Trophies, gold medals, and awards are a few reasons why you might play a sport,
but there is something else that you can also gain in trying to achieve your goal. All the work you
put in for a particular sport can set you up for success and also can set you up for failure, but it can
also leave you with something that you will remember for the rest of your life.
3) An event that changed my way of life was the world swimming championship in 2011 in
Shanghai. I was 15 years old when I competed. Participation in this event gave me hope that I could
fulfill my dream, the dream of all athletes, to participate in the Olympic Games. After the world
swimming championship I was more dedicated to my swimming and my school. So far, my life has
gone the way I hoped it would and I have accomplished many of the goals that I have set out to
achieve.
