12. Production Company We have chosen to use the production company ‘Lions Gate’. Lions Gate Entertainment Corporation is a Canadian-American entertainment company that specializes in producing horror and thriller films. For example their first major box office success was ‘American Psycho’ an American thriller.

Influences Memento Memento chronicles two separate stories of Leonard, an ex-insurance investigator who can no longer build new memories, as he attempts to find the murderer of his wife, which is the last thing he remembers. One story line moves forward in time while the other tells the story backwards revealing more each time. This is an influence for our film Counter Play as it is also a psychological thriller and deals with the theme of revenge. It looks at how far someone will go to get justice for the one they love.
