A thriller is a piece of literature, film, gamin and television.
Different kinds of thrillers often overlap genres for example
comedy, horror.
They are usually fast paced with frequent action and resourceful
heroes who is more powerful and better equipped than the
villain.
Different techniques are used within thrillers, some including:
red herrings (this fallacy is often used in detective or suspense
movies to mislead readers or characters or to induce them to
make false conclusions). Cliff hangers are also a big aspect in
thrillers to leave the audience on edge.

In spy thrillers the hero is
generally a government agent
whom fights against terrorism
who must take violent action
against agents of a rival
government .

must ensure the stability of the
government that employs him.
Sometimes based on actual events
and an element of conspiracy
theories.

A conspiracy thriller is where the hero
confronts a large, powerful group of
enemies whose true extent and power only
s/he recognizes.
An example of a conspiracy thriller is V for
Vendetta which tells the story of Evey
Hammond and her unlikely but instrumental
part in bringing down the fascist
government that has taken control of a
futuristic Great Britain
7. MEDICAL THRILLER
Medical thrillers, in which the hero is
generally a principled physician who
must fight corrupt drug companies or
colleagues engaged in unethical
experiments.
An example of this is Side Effects
which is about a world unravels when a
drug prescribed by her psychiatrist has
unexpected side effects.

of the other thriller elements.
For example The Purge Anarchy where three
groups of people are trying to survive Purge
Night, when their stories intertwine and are
left stranded in The Purge trying to survive
the chaos and violence that occurs.
