2. Match on action
While filming our match on action, it is
very shaky as we didn’t use a tripod to
record it. We also did do a full match
on action as the transition wasn’t
smooth enough when cutting to it. If
we was too do it again, I would make
sure that we use a tripod to stand it on
so that it focuses on the person
walking. I would also pick another
angle to film it at as this one doesn’t
look very professional and looks
messy. Also, when we filmed the other
side, the angle was different so
therefore didn’t look tidy and made it
look like there was a problem with the
filming.
3. Shot Reverse Shot
When doing our Shot Reverse Shot, I
think that we did a good job with
showing the convocation and the shots
being flipped. We interpreted the over
the shoulder angle in this as we thought
it was a clear way of showing the shots
being reversed. However, in the second
photo, there is too much of the hair and
shoulder showing that it takes the effect
away of the person the audience are
meant to be seeing. Also, the shot was
edited very quickly so it was harder to
see how it flowed and how the
transitions fitted together. It looked very
rushed.
4. 180 degree shot
When doing this shot, I thought we
successfully showed the convocation at
three different angles. The audience could
clearly see the shot of them both and then
the cut them talking individually. However,
I think that the angle of the camera is very
off. For example, in the photo in the top
right, it is slightly angled and looks odd. It
also isn’t the same as the other angle
(shown in the bottom left) so looks very odd
and out of place.
5. Overall
Overall, I feel like we successfully showed the different angles when putting the piece
together. I think it allowed the audience to see what shots we were trying to show and what
they clearly show. While filming this, we had a lot of difficulties with saving and uploading.
This resulted in us having the re film a couple of times. This therefore set us back and resulted
in us having to rush it.
After spending time editing our opening and filming for it I think that we now have abetter
understanding of what quality the footage needs to be in. This means that we know that in
order to keep it focused and still we would need to use a tripod and that if the angle doesn’t
look right then we can shoot it from different angles and edit them together. We also now
have a better understanding of how to edit the footages together. In our preliminary task, the
footage is very quick and therefore is hard for the audience to see the different angles and
what they show.
Due to starting with this task, I feel like I now have a better understanding and if we was to
film again it would look better and show the audience a lot more.
