Royal Bengal tiger
Introduction to the Topic
4. 12/11/2016
I am going to say few things about my favorite animal
It is the national animal of both India and Bangladesh
they arrived in India approximately 12,000 years ago
Bengal tigers may weigh up to 325 kg and
reach a head and body length of 320 cm.
They live 15 years to 20+ captivity

Hunting and diet
Tigers are carnivores. They prefer hunting
large ungulates such as chital, sambar, gaur, and to a
lesser extent also barasingha, water
buffalo, nilgai, serow and takin. Among the medium-
sized prey species they frequently kill wild boar, and
occasionally hog deer, muntjac and grey langur. Small
prey species such
as porcupines, hares and peafowl form a very small
part in their diet

Some facts you should know about royal Bengal tiger
They have enormous power.
They are great swimmers.
Their favorite preys are wild boars, deer,
antelope and water buffaloes.
A Bengal Tiger roar can be heard two
miles away.
There’s been only one case recorded
when a complete black tiger was found
in Chittagong in 1846.

But now a days the number of Bengal tigers is decreasing and the
reason is:
Hunting
Deforestation
Some illegal activities & etc.
8. 12/11/2016
Government has taken some steps to preserve Bengal tigers
In 1973, Project Tiger
The Indian Wildlife Protection Act of 1972
"India has to decide whether it wants to keep the tiger or not. It has to decide if it is
worthwhile to keep its National Symbol, its icon, representing wildlife. It has to decide if
it wants to keep its natural heritage for future generations, a heritage more important
than the cultural one, whether we speak of its temples, the Taj Mahal, or others, because
once destroyed it cannot be replaced."
Conclusion:
Bengal tiger is our national animal so he have to protect them
And fight for them.
