A cyclist informs a family that a snake has entered their house. The family, consisting of a mother and her four sons, accuses their servant Dasa of being lazy and allowing the snake to enter. Dasa denies this and argues he has not been given the proper tools to do his job. To prove his innocence and save his position, Dasa tricks the family by appearing to catch the snake in a covered water pot. However, another snake is then spotted in the house, causing doubt about Dasa's method. The story examines how people can lose their temper in difficult situations and behave poorly towards those they see as lesser.
