• Using slices of bread create the following landforms:

•Island
•Isthmus
•Bay
•Peninsula
5. Clay Creations:
• Using clay create the following landforms:
•Mountain
•Valley
•Plateau
•Hill
•Canyon
6. Directions:
1.) Make the landforms.
2.) Place the landform on a sheet of paper and label the landform.
3.) Take a picture of the landform with your macbook.
4.) Drag and drop the picture into the Google Doc.
5.) Write a description of the landform.
6.) Research a real life example. Add the specific name, picture and
facts.

•Take a virtual geography tour around the
world with Google Earth or Google Maps.
• Find real life examples of each landform
covered in the lesson.
13. Extension Activity:
• Landform Pictionary
• Use scratch paper from the cabinet!
• With a partner take turns drawing a landform that was
covered in the lesson.
• The other partner tries to guess what landform is
being drawn.
14. Home Connection:
• In this home-connection activity, students can prepare a
geography sandwich for a parent or sibling as a way to share
their learning.
• Some possible ideas could include:
• Island: Lay a slice of lunch meat in the middle of a slice of bread, or
create an island shape with peanut butter.
• Lake: Use a cookie cutter to cut out a shape from the middle of the
sandwich.
• Isthmus: Lay a pickle spear across the top of the sandwich.
• gulf: Take a bite out of the side of the sandwich.
*Take a selfie with your landform sandwich and
share it with the class!
