2. Key duties/responsibilities for quality inspector
1. Inspect products using gauges, calipers, micrometers and other required
measuring equipment
2. Perform inspections on incoming product, material, manufacturing
processes, and outgoing product
3. Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
4. Perform audits on company Quality Management System as needed
5. PMI testing of incoming raw materials
6. Visually compares work pieces against one another to assess/detect
manufacturing variations in processes
7. Reports quality problems or findings to Quality Control Manager and
follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place
8. All other duties as assigned by supervisor
3. Key job qualifications for quality inspector
1. Up to 1 years of experience in Quality Control or 3 years in manufacturing environment
2. Knowledge of Valves and Valve material is recommended
3. Ability to read measurements on calipers, micrometers, and other required measuring
equipment
4. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery
requirements
5. Clear communication (oral and written) skills
6. Ability to keep accurate records
7. Experience with NDE standards and processes is a plus
8. Experience with Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing a plus
9. Ability to follow documented procedures and standards
10. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little
supervision
11. Flexible schedule based on production schedule
12. High school diploma or GED
13. NDE Certifications a plus
