2. •Firstly I feel my bold and friendly main image is attractive to the audience
as its eye catching and clearly establishes the genre such as through the
attire and her pose. Helping to support this is the feedback from my focus
group who liked how she and everyone else looked very happy and
engaging. Similarly having many images on front is what my focus group
prior to production desired as it makes the magazine look exciting and full!
•The masthead is bold and stands out upon the image. Similarly suits the
genre which is something my focus group highlighted as they said it looked
like it was from a “ranch” which was exactly my aim.
•My colour scheme I feel was crucial to addressing my audience as I used
feminine colours such as purple, red and pink and specifically bold hues
with the red and purple to catch the eye and a softer more friendly rose
pink to balance the hues which my focus group liked as they thought they
were not to harsh rather subtle. Specifically the colours varying throughout
the coverline's can help to draw the audience in to the specific cover lines
of which are about music and therefore are interesting to them.
• “Why country women rock” can especially be appealing as the audience
are female and enjoy women being celebrated.
•The header Is bold and included images that would grab the readers eye.
Similarly the word “Hottest” is intriguing as females often like to admire
male artists. Similarly the images can address the minority of males in my
target audience as they can admire to be like them and have their success.
Although, it was eye-catching the focus group revealed that it didn't really
flow with the rest of the page which I can see and understand.
•The flasher especially with the word “Win!” can attract the target audience
because it stands out upon the page . Music magazine readers are usually
every dedicated to their favourite genre and therefore seeing they could
have the chance to win an artists boots is amazing and interesting. This is
supported again by my focus group who declared they would like to win
them! I also added the outer glow to again further its address to the
audience.
•Pull quotes were also a feature I feel can attract the audience as the
audience desired this prior to production and similarly it can add a
realness to the magazine therefore linking to the openness of the genre.
3. •Firstly the rule of thirds can attract the audience as it helps to layout
different elements therefore making it accessible and easy for the
audience. My focus group identified this and said it was clear and like a
lot of magazines which showcases the success of using this convention.
•Similarly I have tried to maintain a house style and therefore engages
the audience as there is a consistency from the front cover specifically
through feminine colours with fresh and celebratory connotations which
is again something the focus group noted
•I have used a main image which is similar to my front cover in terms of
its brightness and her attire but differs in their shot type and pose
therefore varying my production to keep it exciting . I have used many
other images to again attract the audience. The image of the studs has
been edited to fit in within the colour scheme. Similarly it has a 3d effect
and therefore looks modern and funky for the audience. I have framed
my main image by using images of a flower and a guitar as they not only
highlight the genre but also add personality and something extra for the
female audience. I have framed my other images as well with a pink
border in order to add femininity and achieve an impact on the audience.
•I have used a flasher on the image to attract the audience to the main
artist and her story as it stands out and is in a bold colour.
•I have used an editorial with a sort of informal notepad border to
explain to the audience the contents of the magazine. It however stands
out more as it is slanted which I intentionally did to add an informality.
•I have included sections the audience enjoy such as about music,
lifestyle, fashion and gossip. “Behind the lyrics” and “Flashback” add a
serious element as it offers the audience the serious side to country
music. The mode of address is friendly and informal such as “ya’ll”,
“your very own”, “Star stats”, “killer cocktails “ and “ small town glory”.
Hopefully and not to be missed add a personal relationship as its like the
magazine is adding comedy and tips for the reader.
4. •Having a consistent colour scheme is
attractive to the audience as there is a
familiarity created and therefore a
smoothness.
•Having a large and dominate main
image is eye-catching . Its especially
appealing since it shows her up close
and therefore lets them really see her
and her personality. It also creates an
intimacy for the interview. Having
loads of images was desired by my
focus group prior so I have done this in
order to meet their desires and
illustrate parts of the article and her
persona.
•Similar to the contents I have used
small dots which can be attractive to
the audience as they make the page
more exciting and interesting to read.
•“Exclusive” can appeal to the reader
since they feel they are getting
something no one else has and
therefore like expressed by my focus
group makes them feel special.
•The questions and answers are
separated with colour and therefore
make it attractive to the audience as
its easy and accessible as well as
interesting for them to read. The focus
•The article covers topics such as about starting in Nashville, her musical inspirations and her fashion sense which are

•The addition of flowers and the cowboy hat continue to showcase the genre but again add a modernism especially
“it’s a bonus” and “what the hell” and

highlight main points for the benefit of the target audience.
