We have a suite of over 50
performance enhancing and
resilience building workshops.
‘Stand up and be counted’ is one
workshop that uses comedy to
help improve story-telling and
presentation competencies of
your people
10
Overview | This workshop is an experiential learning
experience that immerses the team in the inner workings of
the stand up comedian.
Set up as a comedy club, the participants learn how to build
and tell stories like a comedian as well as techniques to boost
confidence, presentation skills and ‘heckling’ - it gives the
participants the chance to learn real business beneficial tools
whilst engaging in a fun and immersive learning which will
stay with them forever.
Co-coached with an award winning current circuit stand up,
the workshop finishes with the participants performing their
own 2 minute routines in front of their peers.

9
Delivery - 2 hours up to 12 people
Objectives|
Give people self confidence, structure and a strategy to deliver
story-telling.
Outcomes |
Through the use of techniques favoured by circuit comedians,
we will equip people to deal confidently with story-telling and
the pressure of a presentation environment .
Content|
In a workshop set up as a comedy club, the informal
atmosphere encourages people to take part in a series of
exercises that coach an innovative way of story telling.
A current circuit stand up comedian co-coaches the exercises
which are short, engaging and immersive.
At the end of the course, people will use the techniques
they’ve learned and take the stage in front of a willing
audience - the ultimate test of story-telling awaits as they
present a short 2 minute set to their peers.

communicators?
This workshop is part of an optional modular
programme we call ‘All the World’s a Stage’
consisting of a selection of workshops designed to
build confidence and competence in the art of
communication.
1) Impactful Presentations
2) Communication Pro
3) The Art of Story Telling
4) Building Self Confidence
5) State Management
part of a bigger
programme
7
Overview|
This work shop then goes on to share knowledge and
skills from the world of theatre to allow delegates to be
the best communicators they can possibly be. Actors
spend years preparing their voice and body before they
even start to ‘act’. They learn that preparation of
themselves is as critical to a good performance as it is
to understand the content they are delivering.
Delegates will end this section equipped with critical
tools to enable them to be better prepared, have a
greater understanding of themselves, and tune into
how they can come across.

body before a presentation or meeting?
9
Overview|
We have all suffered “Death by PowerPoint”. How can you
make sure your staff aren’t inflicting it on their clients and
prospects? The short answer is: “storytelling”.
Our brains don’t respond well to traditional presentation
techniques – like lists of bullet points. Our brains do
respond well to stories. We find it much easier to follow a
presentation that has a story-like structure, in which each
slide joins together to form a cohesive whole. And we’re
far more ready to agree with someone who communicates
to us in this way.
Traditional presentation training tells us to be clear about
what we want to say. But storytelling isn’t just about the
content of your story. It’s also about engaging your
audience. The true key to successful communication lies in
understanding your audience – their needs and wants.
This workshop explains how to structure a presentation
based on audience needs, so that you can win them over
quickly.
Writing Storytelling Presentations will equip your staff
with simple, easily-understood storytelling techniques that
will make their presentations much clearer – more
interesting and enjoyable for their audiences.
the art of story
telling
10
Delivery | 3 hours

staff who present, understand how to introduce a
storytelling element into their presentations. This will make
their presentations more memorable and more compelling.
Your staff will also learn how to structure their
presentations so as to get the audience “on their side”
straightaway – and keep them there.
Outcomes | Presentations will be easier to write and easier
to deliver. They will be more memorable and more
persuasive. Your staff will find it much easier to engage
their colleagues, clients and prospects with their
presentations and be successful in gaining idea buy-in.

This two day workshop is a very practical hands-on
approach to developing effective presentation skills.

of time delivering presentations to each other (6-7
presentations). This provides the opportunity to
repeatedly practice and refine the delivery. Each cycle
contains group feedback and one-to-one coaching.
In addition observing other provides additional learning
opportunities. Thought is given to identifying the
appropriate style of presentation to deliver, how to
prepare and structure a presentation, and how to
engage an audience with a concise message.

Overview |
Self confidence plays a vital role in almost every aspect
of our lives, personally and professionally:- it affects
the choices we make from career through to
relationships, determines how we present ourselves to
the world and how others see us, is one of the key
elements that facilitates the realisation of our innate
potential, is linked to how much stress we experience
and impacts significantly on our personal happiness.
Sadly, so many of us can get stuck in vicious
unconscious cycles that reinforce the negative self-
limiting beliefs that undermine our confidence.
The good news is that there is a way out of this cycle -
self-confidence can be developed. This workshop will
introduce you to ways that you can achieve this
building self

Overview|
Stress is currently our biggest occupational health issue.
Many of us are experiencing chronic stress where our
nervous system is in a state of constant over-stimulation.
Over time this will erode our health and well-being and
impact on our performance at work. This practical
workshop introduces a number of highly effective
functional techniques that specifically target the nervous
system to trigger the relaxation response – a
physiological response that quietens and balances the
nervous system, body and mind. Delegates will be
encouraged to experiment with all the techniques to find
those that are best suited to them.
Objective|
Simple, easy to use functional tools and techniques to
support the body and mind to relax.

  • 9. 9 Overview| We have all suffered “Death by PowerPoint”. How can you make sure your staff aren’t inflicting it on their clients and prospects? The short answer is: “storytelling”. Our brains don’t respond well to traditional presentation techniques – like lists of bullet points. Our brains do respond well to stories. We find it much easier to follow a presentation that has a story-like structure, in which each slide joins together to form a cohesive whole. And we’re far more ready to agree with someone who communicates to us in this way. Traditional presentation training tells us to be clear about what we want to say. But storytelling isn’t just about the content of your story. It’s also about engaging your audience. The true key to successful communication lies in understanding your audience – their needs and wants. This workshop explains how to structure a presentation based on audience needs, so that you can win them over quickly. Writing Storytelling Presentations will equip your staff with simple, easily-understood storytelling techniques that will make their presentations much clearer – more interesting and enjoyable for their audiences. the art of story telling
