Take it from me, I used to and sometimes still do stress for gymnastics competitions. When I get

Introduction It is rooted in human nature to compete for what we need and sometimes even what
we think we deserve. Competition has many different faces and a variety of names. May it be
swimming, football, or two employees competing for a promotion, there is no difference in
objective. Workplace competition is a perfect example of win–oriented behavior. The basic premise
is outmaneuvering opposition to advance quickly through an organization. I believe this is a Human
Resource topic because the HR manager has to know what's going on in his company and how his

mention the pay; $0. Student–athletes have a more demanding job, mentally and physically, yet they
have little to show for it.
This isn't an argument that proposes colligate athletes should be paid just because they work hard.
The reasoning extends far beyond their work ethics. First of all, colligate athletics is a billion dollar
industry. On average, 44,367 fans attend a college football game. Imagine that a university such as
Ohio State holds 7 games at Ohio Stadium as it did in 2003. 105.000+ fans can occupy Ohio
Stadium at one time. At the least, one may find a ticket for $50, if they are lucky. During one Ohio
State football game, at least $5.25 million will be made. This is just one source of revenue the
university receives. Not to mention, merchandise, concessions, and BSC appearances. All are major
contributors to the lucrative business of college athletics.
From the millions of dollars generated from ticket sales to the millions of dollars generated from
major tournament bids, colligate athletes don't receive any of this money, which is ironic
considering the fact that they are the reason that most of this money is being made. Why shouldn't
they be rewarded with a share of the billion dollar a year industry that they are so much a part of?

Report On The English Week Programme In SMK Alam Shah English Week was an opportunity
for students to show everyone their appreciation and ability at English. In SMK Alam Shah, the
English Week was carried out from 18 April until 22 April 2011. The programme was organized
by the English Language Society. With the slogan "I Love English", this programme was aimed to
encourage all pupils to use English Language as a medium of interaction with their friends and
teachers. Various activities were arranged during the week and opened to all students. The activities
were carried out from 7.30 a.m. until the school sessions ended. The event kicked off on Monday,

Does competition make us better? Everyone from the time they are born until the time they die
are involved in competition. The way people see competition in their life is through sports,
school, work, and sibling rivalries. Some say that it is unhealthy to be competitive in life, but
competition encourages people to do great work. In life we compete over a lot of things. When
applying for a job or college you are competing against all the other applicants and whoever has the
best resume gets the job or accepted in the school. So, this bears the question does competition make
us better? Competition teaches us how to be better people. Losing is not a bad thing. The biggest
argument that people have about competition is it decides a winner and a loser. They argue that
this is unhealthy to people. This was said by the students in Professor Mitchells English lesson
during a class discussion one day. What they failed to mention is that people learn from losing. In
