1Corinthians 9:24 - 27 (Easy-to-Read Version)
24 You know that in a race all the runners run, but
    only one runner gets the prize. So run like that.
    Run to win!
25 All who compete in the games use strict training.
    They do this so that they can win a prize--one that
    doesn't last. But our prize is one that will last
    forever.
26 So I run like someone who has a goal. I fight like a
    boxer who is hitting something, not just the air.
27 It is my own body I fight to make it do what I want.
   I do this so that I won't miss getting the prize
   myself after telling others about it.
Philippians 3:12 - 16 (Contemporary English Version)
12     I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But
       Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and
       struggling to take hold of the prize.
13     My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I
       forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead.
14     I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being
       called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers
       because of what Christ Jesus has done.
15     All of us who are mature should think in this same way.
       And if any of you think differently, God will make it clear
       to you.
16     But we must keep going in the direction that we are now
       headed.
The summary of life is about winning……….
winning……..in marriage, academics, business etc
The type of “WINNING” I’m talking about is money-
making, bottom-line winning… the kind of winning
that puts money in the bank, clothes on your back,
a nice car in your driveway…. and shoes on your
Kids 'feet!
FACT:
There really is a secret that not one in 1,000 people
knows which, when you use it, can elevate you so far
above your competition that you’ll wonder why you
never thought of it before -- and I’m going to reveal it to
you right here… right now!
What are you selling in
 exchange for the money
 or results you seek from
 others?



But………you must accept that fact
that you ARE a salesperson

Now some (maybe even you) might say “I don’t sell
anything. I’m a ________________________________
(teacher, mother, pastor, student, clerk….. fill-in-the-
blank)”
• Accept your ideas
• Accept your point of view
• Keep paying you as an employee
• Respect you as a father / mother
• Hire you for a new job
• Keep you as a spouse
• Pay you money for any type of
service
• … and much, much more!

But there’s a problem…
… the problem is “You’re probably doing whatever
you’re doing the same way everybody else does it!”
Here’s the root of the problem…
By doing things the same way others do them, you create
for yourself a little problem we call – competition!
                     FACT: A state of competition exists
                             when customers (or family
                     members) look at you, then look at
                     other people, and compare the two
                             of you against each other.

As soon as others think they can make a comparison
between you and someone (or some thing) else – you
LOSE!
As soon as your prospects, customers, or family members look
at you and someone else and, in their minds, see you as equal --
you have LOST! GAME OVER!
Because no matter how good you are, if you choose to
compete directly with others in any arena of business
or life, there will ALWAYS be someone who is
• bigger                         more fun
• better                         • better looking
• faster                         • earlier
• richer                         • flashier
• smarter                        • quicker
• nicer                          • or cheaper than you are!




It’s a fact… if you live in the world of competition, you WILL (not
might or maybe)… you WILL eventually lose to someone else.
