Grade Mathematics
Treutlen County Schools does not currently allow BYOD/BYOT. However, Forsyth County Schools
does allow BYOT and here is the link: http://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/byot
We utilize windows and google chrome within the school which makes these are the best choices
for my classroom. Chrome/google apps would be the best apps for my students for several
reasons. Students and teachers have emails through google chrome. The school began giving
science teachers chrome books for their students last year and because of this we can access
many apps from google play for free. The majority of these apps are also free on apple.
Students who do not have their own devices will use other devices in the room or work with a
partner. I have some extra smart phones that could be used as well as extra lap tops and a
tablet. When science teachers are not using their chrome books or when they have extra I could
also borrow them.
For the most part students will be grouped in partners but teams and groups will also be utilized.
Students learn a great deal from one another and technology enhances collaboration.
