4. Dorothea and Casabon
● Dorothea is ian ntelligent. Casabon was a pedantic, elderly
clergyman

● Dorothea marries with elderly casabon, with idea of helping
him with his research project.
● Casaubon’s unfinished book The Key to All Mythologise.
● Marriage was a mistake, as Casabon does not take her
seriously.
● He was very ill, he make his will that if Dorothea marries
with Ladislow , she will lose his inheritance.

that he will raise social standing and keep
her comfortable .
● Lydgate idealistic talented doctor. He ends
up in an unhappy marriage to Vincy.
● When he loses his money, Rosamondas
loses interest in him.

● Mary Garth and Fred vincy
were childhood sweetheart.
● Fred family wants that he
becoming a clergyman, but he
knows that mary will not
marry him if he became
clergymen.
● He later changes because of
his love for Mary, and
studying under Mary's father.

8. Sir James and Celia Brook
● Sir James chettam is love
with Dorothea and help her
with her plans to improve
conditions for the teants.
● When Dorothea marries
Casaubon sir James marries
with her sister Celia Brook.
