COMMUNICABLE DISEASES Megan Perry
ANALYZE THE LEARNER
My classroom is a 10th grade class with 20 students. There are 11
girls and 9 boys. Two students suffer from chronic illness, polio
being one. One male was born in Africa.
OBJECTIVES
Students will learn about communicable diseases by the use of arts
and bots, youtube, podcasts, blogs, powerpoint, media and materials,
and desktop publishing and will present a poster at the end of the
week showing what they have learned with 90% accuracy.
DAY BY DAY
Monday- students will learn the meaning of communicable diseases,
along with different types of communicable diseases using powerpoint
and podcasts
Tuesday- students will learn more in depth/continue talking about
different communicable diseases using youtube and powerpoint
Wednesday- students will learn how communicable diseases are
spread and how to protect themselves/safety by researching reliable
blogs
Thursday-students will go to the library to research more on
communicable diseases, choose a disease, and turn in a poster the
next day
Friday- students will quickly explain their posters, and then will hang
