This document provides guidelines for crafting recommendations for the final project. It specifies that recommendations should be targeted towards public and nonprofit organizations and must address: program success by identifying best practices; participation through contrasting reengineering processes; a program reengineering model based on cost-benefit analysis; overcoming constraints faced by the three organizations; organizational success through benchmarking and best practices; a strategy to mitigate challenges of customer service; and a strategy to address boundary limitations. The recommendations section should be 7-10 pages following APA style guidelines and citing a minimum of six sources. A rubric evaluates elements like determining appropriate best practices and assessing strategic processes.
Project Pick and productservice and trace the supply chain (2).docx
1. Project:
Pick and product/service and trace the supply chain
requirements from
source to consumer.
Consider the following:
1. Identify the ingredients: Find out where they are sourced.
2. Show physical movement of product from source to
consumption
and/or return. Identify the means of transport where
appropriate.
Produce an infographic of this supply chain process.
3. The sharing of information in the supply chain processes.
Produce an
infographic of the information system employed by your
company.
4. The financial consideration of all transactions. Produce an
infographic
of the financial cash-to-cash cysle.
Content to be included:
1. Impact of promotion: trade and consumer
2. Pricing strategy and execution
3. Future developments/issues: Identify 3 key issues/challenges
impacting this product by the year 2016. Make specific
recommendations on what steps you would take to respond to
these
developments.
2. Example
Brewed with five varieties of malted barley for
a big, rich flavor.
The first thing you notice when pouring a glass of this
seasonal beer is the color. Samuel Adams® Octoberfest
has a rich, deep reddish amber hue which itself is reflective
of the season. Samuel Adams Octoberfest masterfully
blends together five roasts of malt to create a delicious
harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The
malt is complimented by the elegant bitterness imparted
by the Bavarian Noble hops. Samuel Adams Octoberfest
provides a wonderful transition from the lighter beers of
summer to the heartier brews of winter.
The märzen style gets its name from the month in which it was
traditionally brewed. Before
refrigeration March was the last month that beers could be put
down for the lagering, or
cold storage process. The beers would age during the summer
months and be enjoyed
around the time of the fall harvest.
This beer style became a staple beer of the annual Oktoberfest
celebration in Munich. The
3. first celebration was originally held in 1810 to celebrate the
marriage of the Crown Prince of
Bavaria. The village green on which it was first held is now a
huge fairground known as the
Theresienwiese, after the royal bride. The Oktoberfest tradition
has become a world
renowned celebration of beer, running for sixteen heady days
every autumn in Munich,
Germany.

4. PAD 631 Milestone Three G uidelines and Rubric
Overview: This milestone will allow you to work on the
Recommendations portion of your final project.
Prompt: In this milestone, you will begin crafting your
recommendations. Your recommendations should be targeted
toward the leadership and management of
any public sector or nonprofit organization; you do not need to
focus specifically on making recommendations for the three
organizations you selected. Rather,
they will be your basis for making recommendations for public
and nonprofit organizations in general. Recommendations are an
essential part of the strategic
planning process, because they function as a communication
tool, as a proposal for the utilization of scarce resources, and
certainly as an action plan to
accomplish the mission/vision of the organization.
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
5. I. Recommendations
A. Program Success: Based on the measures used to evaluate the
program outcomes and the best practices you identified, which
best practices
could decision makers implement to enhance the likelihood of
program success?
B. Participation: Recommend a participation best practice by
contrasting the participation characteristics of the reengineering
processes used in
the three organizations.
C. Program Reengineering: Recommend a best practice model
for program reengineering based on your cost-benefit analysis
for the three
organizations and independent research.
D. Overcoming Constraints: How effective were the strategic
management processes used by the three organizations to
overcome the constraints
they faced?
E. Organizational Success: Explain how governmental and
nonprofit agencies can improve organizational success by best
utilizing the principles of
benchmarking, best practices, and comparative governmental
performance.
F. Customer Service: Recommend a strategy to mitigate the
impact of the challenge of providing effective and efficient
customer service. Justify
your recommendation. Your response should be based on your
analysis of the three organizations and additional research.
G. Boundary Limitations: Recommend a strategy or tactic that
governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations can
6. implement to mitigate the
impact of the challenge of territorial boundary limitations.
Justify your recommendation. Your response should be based on
your analysis of the
three organizations and additional research.
7. Rubric
Guidelines for Submission: Your draft of the Recommendations
portion of your final project should adhere to the following
formatting requirements: 7–10
pages, double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font
and one-inch margins. You should use current APA-style
guidelines for your citations and reference
list, including a minimum of six sources.
