2. WHAT ARE SUBTITLES?
 Subtitles are derived from either a transcript or screenplay of the
dialog or commentary in films, television programs, video
games, and the like, usually displayed at the bottom of the
screen. They can either be a form of written translation of a
dialog in a foreign language, or a written rendering of the
dialog in the same language.
 Subtitles are also used for description of the audio content for
the deaf and the hard of hearing, beyond the dialogues, e.g.
the background noises, musical content, etc.

5. CONVENTIONS
35 characters in one line,
a line is normally 1/12 of the screen height,
maximum of two lines at a time
minimum display time: 1.5 seconds,
maximum display time: 3.5 s. (one line), 6 s. (two lines),
minimum of 0.1 s. between consecutive subtitles.
