I am writing to appeal my academic dismissal from NOVA Southeastern University. I was not
surprised, but very upset to receive a notice of my dismissal. I sat out for a year and would like to be

as a result my grades suffered. I don't mean to make excuses for my poor academic performance and

Besides graduating from college, being accepted into the Counseling program at NOVA
Southeastern University was the greatest day of my life. I was on my way to a much greater success
by working on my Master. Paying for college out of pocket was a struggle, but I understand that
success comes with great sacrifices. However, I wouldn't really call paying out of pocket for school
a sacrifice, but rather an investment in my future and my family. My first semester went marvelous.
I was motivated and enthusiastic about the courses. I must admit graduate school is much harder
than I imagine, but I manage to make time for studying and ended making A's in both of my classes,

NOVA Program
From what we have learned throughout this semester about gangs and gang life I personally feel that
the NOVA program is without a doubt a program worth exploring and plugging into gang ridden
neighborhoods. In the explanaition of the program they make it very clear that they have the goal in
mind to "build a new life that does not include violent crime". From what we have learned from our
books and videos, gang members join for many reasons but the big 2 being money and protection. If
the program could help these young men find a solid job and remove them from these
neighborhoods than both of those excuses for joining gangs will no longer be a concern. I do believe
it is a worthwhile approach because of the three prong system they seem to follow. The most
important one being helping men find an alternative to gang life. This is unique because we always
focus on how to prosecute or take gang memebers off the streets but we tend to not focus on how to
rehabilitate members or prevent gangs from growing. But when you can't reach young men and they

But another aspect I see as being critical to the success of this program is the coming together of law
enforcement, community leaders, and churches. While law enforcement alone might not make a
dent, this combination can be quite effective. Community leaders I feel will make a big impact
because the people will be willing to listen. In crime ridden neighborhoods people might be hesitant
to listen to law enforcement because they might not be willing to trust them. But by combining the
collective effort of not only law enforcement and community leaders but churches as well, you are
creating this positive atmosphere that just might be able to reflect negative feelings and criminal

The NOVA Soccer Team
Someone who is a lifelong Learner takes responsibility for their actions and also develop and
maintain physical health and emotional stability. They objectively evaluate problems and seek moral
and ethical solutions. To me someone who is a lifelong learner is able to maintain everything under
control and being able to develop characteristic that will help them take responsibly for your actions.
It also important to have great problem solving skills for them, so when there is a problem you can
solve it right away.
The purpose of the NOVA soccer team was to play soccer and represent our school. My position in
the NOVA soccer team, was the Assistant Coach which meant I help the coach in any way possible.

Contrasting Nova and Kuchag, it was established that there is a huge difference in the way they look
at women. Kuchag always found a way to sexualize the women. For him, physical appearance was a

As they stood there, face to face, bear to cheetah, staring at each other viciously trying to think of
each other's next move, the villagers and all the animals assembled around them. This called for a
1v1 demise match.
They began fighting each other. Although the cheetah was 10x larger, faster, and stronger, the
grizzly bear was not going down without a brawl. Nova used his fast, but slow acceleration to try to
find an open field where they can fight without his people thinking that he is a serial killer. They
found a mini meadow with poor harvest due to the sun that they could fight on. The cheetah

were scattered along the edges of the long, narrow peninsula. The sea was the only road between
settlements. In many respects, therefore, there simply could not have been a united Nova Scotia.
