Promotional Methods
I've been thinking of various ways to promote my magazine to
increase the readership and circulation of my magazine. My
magazine needs to have a big readership in order for it to be
successful, to do this I must promote it effectively by using
different methods. This will come at a huge cost as in order to
promote on buses, billboards, posters etc. I must invest a lot of
money. I can't avoid promotion otherwise I will receive no
revenue, my magazine is new, thus no one will know about it
unless I promote it.
I will ask for an advertising slot on radio
stations nationwide and try to ask
numerous well known radio presenters on
big radio stations e.g. Capital FM to name
drop my magazine.
I will put a free issue of my magazine
inside a national newspaper as a
preview of what my magazine has to
offer in hope they’ll read it, like what
they see and purchase the next copy
from the shelves.
I will place an advert for my magazine
on an advertisement slot on TV,
preferably on the music channels to get
my target audience.

I will put posters up on billboards, train stations and bus stops
to get the general public familiar with the magazine name and
image.
