A joint project between photographer and art teacher Tom Lau and a Sociology In Action class. Lau has been documenting the dozens of Chicago Public Schools that were closed down during Mayor Rahm Emmanuel's administration in 2013. Students are tasked with researching the racial demographics of the school neighborhoods as well as the historical "residential security" data from the New Deal HOLC program.
