Tell me in no more than 20 words, what is your FMP idea? my idea is to create a music video for a song with an album cover
and some more advertisement
Why have you decided to make it? I feel making music videos is my strongest aspect of media and
the thing I’ve enjoyed most so far
What about your project makes it important to you? I feel it is important as its something I enjoy doing whether that
be performing in the music video or even when im directing or
setting up the different shots I also love the experience of doing it
with friends and seeing this thing that ive imagined come to life
as something you can watch
Outline some of the initial influences on your idea/work and
some potential research targets (remember, research isn’t just a
paper based activity)
I always watch music videos as I am constantly listening to music
and I love watching old and new videos especially Cole bennet
who makes the music videos for the biggest rappers whose
creativity when it comes to editing makes him so popular and so
well regarded in the community
What effect do you want to have on your audience when they see
your project?
I want them to reimagine the song and to take the video how
they see it and make up there own meaning behind each shot
and what each part could mean whilst also seeing the connection
to the song itself
Describe the tone/mood/style of your project [which production
techniques/characteristics are you employing?]
I want to go for something a bit more obscure and creative than
what I did last time and to try make every shot have a hidden
meaning behind them I also want to keep the retro style I already
did but with a twist and I want to try doing a video that’s not for a
rap song.
Why have you decided to make your project in this style? I feel I want to show my versatility when it comes to making the
music video so im not seen as one dimensional and that I can do
different styles or videos to different genres of music.

3. Skills Audit
I think my mains skills are my vision for how a video will look and also my camera work
and editing as I feel I normally get the look and outcome I was hoping for when it
comes to production. I think another skill I have is directing videos and working with
others to get a job done well as I feel I'm clear with what I want to do and what I need
others to do whilst also being very cooperative with what they need me to do. I think
another skill of mine is definitely making music videos. I think a weakness I have is
when it comes to time management although I always get things done on time
sometimes things end up rushed or done at the last minute when instead I should get
things done as soon as there set so I have time at the end to go over everything an
improve on my work.

4. Mood Board
These are all things I take huge inspiration from whilst growing up around
breakdancing and old school hip hop you are then thrown into these culture of
film making skating music dancing all these elements that then go on to create
who I am today as even though I'm not a rapper or a skater these two things
inspire and influence me on a day to day basis and will help me create a music
video that will consist of all these things that I've grown up with.

5. This mood board is mostly to represent
youth culture through the years and in many
countries which goes to show how similar
youth culture is and always has been and will
be a prominent factor in my music video
which could also be seen and a mini film.

6. Mood Board Analysis
How does your mood board inspire your project?
I used things that have not only influencing my video but that had and have a huge
influence on my life such as music, youth culture, video making, films and much more
and by using these and my own experiences I will create a video which not only
resonates with the song but with everyone watching whilst also capturing things that
would be in my everyday life.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
It influences so much from the aesthetic to the colour to the style to the types of
angles I get to the things that will be included I feel my mood board is a very good way
of piecing everything together and by seeing it I can see which parts I want to be more
prominent in my final product. I also feel the repeated use of colour style and angles
will give me a good idea for which scenario to use each different technique in.

7. Key Influences
I think my main influences are definitely from music videos although I'm not making one as I try
to use a lot of there style of filming for the edit segments of my production. I'm also taking a lot
of inspiration from different interviews I'm watching on YouTube as I want to put professional
style interviews into my production and I'm also looking at documentary trailers like I am heath
to get inspiration for my project as I love the use of low quality raw footage mixed in with high
quality interviews to create a contrast, I want to put my own spin on this to almost create a
music video documentary trailer mix by using the best elements of each to create something
new. I've also been looking at the lil peep documentary and taking inspiration from that with
the way they lay it out and the way it is shot and also the different colours used in the shot to
set the mood. Im going to put all this
