1. How did you use new media
technologies in the construction,
research planning and evaluation
stages?
2. • There is a large variety of different technologies
which can be used and incorporated in the
various stages of filming and editing a short film.
This proved to be exceedingly helpful, due to me
being able to have access to apparatus and
equipment , which could be applied to create a
film of a quality standard. The effect of this is that
it improved the speed at which certain areas of
our filming could be completed, adding an
increased efficiency to the editing process and
minimizing the chances of mistakes being made .
3. • The first piece of technology I used was the
High Definition video camera, which I used in
the filming prices in order to record the
footage which went in to my short film. This
was good because it provided a basis for the
footage to be downloaded straight on to the
computer where I used final cut to edit my
footage.
4. My Poster
• I decided to make a poster that was influenced by others
from the documentary/mockumenatry genre. I was
inspired by the simplicity of other documentary/
mockumentary posters. For example i looked at the poster
from the mockumentary made by Casey Affleck starring
Jauquin Phoenix called I'm Still Here. The Poster for the film
was just an image of the main character with text over it. I
think that it makes the poster more relevant to the film
especially if it is about one particular person to have just
them on the poster. I also looked at the poster for the
documentary The Queen Of Versailles. This poster also just
had the main character on it. This theme was followed with
the Poster for Sacha Baron Cohen's film The Dictator.
7. • I followed this theme with mine by just having
the main character on the poster. I followed
the conventions of other
documentary/mockumentary film posters. My
poster follows the conventions by having
simple text that follows the theme and
connects with the font and colour I've used
throughout my film. There is a definite theme
that follows through from my film to my
poster.
