ANOTHER PART OF THE
QUESTIONNAIRE.
OUT OF THE TEN THAT ANSWERED,
NEARLY 75% WERE WITHIN THIS AGE
BRACKET AND THEREFORE WOULD
FIT THE TARGET AUDINECE OF OUR
MUSIC VIDEO MAKING ANY DATA WE
COLLECTED RELIABLE AND
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM FOR OUR
WORK.

QUESTION : ‘WHAT MEDIA PLATFORM DO YOU
LIKE TO WATCH MUSIC VIDEOS ON? WITH THE
OPTIONS OF YOUTUBE, VIMEO AND SOCIAL
MEDIA. WE FOUND THAT YOUTUBE WAS THE
MOST POPULAR AND SO THIS HELPED WHEN
IDENTIFYING OUR TARGET AUDIENCE AND WHAT
INTERESTS THEY HAVE.
WE FELT ASKING THIS QUESTION WOULD HELP
WITH THE COMMODIFICATION OF OUR PIECE AND
HELP US IDENTIFY HOW WE WOULD PROMOTE TO
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE.
YOUTUBE WAS EXPECTEDLY THE MOST POPULAR
CHOICE LEADING WITH THE HIGHEST VOTE
EXCEPT SOCIAL MEDIA AND VIMEO WASN’T FAR
BEHIND HIGHLIGHTING THAT THERE ARE NOW
MANY NEW FORMS OF MEDIA AVAILIABLE TO
ACCESS MUSIC VIDEOS.

FEEDBACK ON OUR WORK
I FELT THAT ASKING FOR FEEDBACK ON
THE TYPES OF RUSHES AND HOW WE
COULD IMPROVE OUR VIDEO THROUGH
EDITING A CRUCIAL QUESTION. SO WE
ASKED ‘DO YOU LIKE THE CIRCULAR
FLASHBACK EFFECT OF THE
BOYFRIEND BEING SLAPPED?’ AND ‘DO
YOU LIKE THE LIP SYNCING RUSHES OF
CHANTELLE TO BE IN COLOUR?’.
THESE QUESTIONS HELPED MUCH
WITH THE EDITING AS WE GAINED
FEEDBACK FROM ONE OF THE
RESPONSES AND CHANGED IT DUE TO
THE RESPONSE. OVERALL WE FELT
THIS WAS AN EFFECTIVE CREATIVE
DECISION AS THE MAJORITY OF THE
VOTE WAS WITHIN OUR TARGET
AUDIENCES AGE- THEREFORE OUR
FEEDBACK WAS RELIABLE.

I FELT THAT ASKING WHAT GENRE OF
MUSIC THE PEOPLE WE QUESTIONED
WERE INTERESTED IN WAS AN
IMPORTANT DECISION AS THEN WE
COULD SEE HOW USEFUL THE
FEEDBACK WAS FROM OUR TARGET
AUDIENCE.
AS OUR MUSIC VIDEO IS FOR THE
AUDIENCE WHO ENJOY DANCE MUSIC,
WE FELT THE MORE PEOPLE WHO WAS
INTERESTED IN THIS GENRE OF MUSIC
COULD MAKE OUR FEEDBACK RELIABLE.
FRO THIS WE COULD THEN TRANSFER
THIS FEEDBACK INTO OUR WORK.
LUCKILY THE LARGEST MAJORITY WAS
‘DANCE’ SO OUR FEEDBACK COULD BE
DEEMED AS RELIABLE.
