We are stepping into the first half of the year 2020. This year is a
milestone which marks the beginning of a new decade. This is also
the right time for us to look back at the bygone development of the
country. Coming together with the passing of time is the evolution of
culture, beauty and human beings. These aspects are all expressed
through the lens of fashion.
Chúng ta đang dần bước qua nửa đầu của năm 2020 - một năm cột mốc với
sự mở đầu cho niên kỷ mới với những xu hướng mới. Đây cũng là một thời
điểm vàng để chúng ta nhìn lại chặng đường đã qua trên hành trình xây
dựng và đổi mới đất nước. Song hành cùng tiến trình của thời đại là sự phát
triển về văn hóa, thẩm mỹ và con người. Những khía cạnh đó đều được thể
hiện qua lăng kính là thời trang.

Vietnamese women over the last decades.

của người phụ nữ Việt Nam qua các thời kỳ.

“Luan”, which means “loop”, represents continuity and repetition. This
is a characteristic of fashion: A fashion style never dies, it only fades
away and waits for a return in a brand new age.
“Thoi” in Vietnamese is not only fashion but also the time, which
means contemporaneity is an indispensable element in fashion and
culture.
“Luân” trong “luân chuyển” thể hiện sự liên tục và rồi lặp lại như một vòng tròn
khép kín. Đó cũng là một đặc điểm của thời trang: Thời trang không mất đi,
nó chỉ tạm lắng xuống và rồi trở lại ở một thời kỳ mới.
“Thời” không chỉ là thời trang mà còn là thời gian, qua đó cho thấy, tính thời
đại luôn là yếu tố đi kèm trong những xu hướng về văn hoá nói chung và thời
trang nói riêng.

• Goal: A fashion and culture show to entertain and educate students.
• Duration: ~ 180 minutes
• Size: 70 - 100 attendees
EVENT CONCEPT:
is a time travel which provides people
knowledge about the change in the beauty of Vietnamese
women over the last four decades.
Experience - not only see them but also be them, by wearing
iconic clothes, dancing in classic songs and falling in love
with vintage designs.
Beauty travel brings us a special feeling towards traditional
values as well as creates the sense of fashion.
Beauty Travel - It’s a fairytale! But now you are in it.

80s: Simple clothes
In 1980s Vietnamese fashion was less
cared due to the lack of other
necessities. Young ladies wore patterned
shirts with dark pants.

In 1990s loose jeans became the most
popular trend.

In 2000s, Vietnamese youths were head
over heels for colorful outfits which could
show their style and energy.

In 2010s fashion trends in Vietnam transferred
from multi-color into one or two theme color.
Elegance and minimalism are the top factor

such as movies, music, fashion.
• Enjoy the social activities, especially events.
LUAN THOI would love to give the back-in-time tickets to you right at the
knot of the culture and fashion transfer over the decades. And at the
same time, we also simulate the context of that period as exactly and
familiarly as possible.

inherent inside Vietnamese women.

• Guests check-in and
receive a lottery from
the PGs which will be
used for the game.
• Freely take photos with
models who have already
stood in the photo booths.
WELCOMING
VENUE
• Photo booths will be placed in the
corners of the room.
• The stage will be placed in the center
so that the guests can watch the
performances as widely as possible.
• A runway stage will also be built for
the fashion show’s catwalk.
• Seats for guest will be placed around
the runway stage.
• F&B stall and Gifts stalls will be place
in the middle of the booths.
• Stage is the T shape.
• Main stage is 5mx2m.
• Runway stage is 8mx2m, covered by a red carpet
with paper flowers and pearls put along 2 sides
(sticked to floor).
• Backdrop’s height is 3m.

• The booth simulates a
street corner in 1980s.
• A typing machine at the
street corner.
• A news board with a
name board “Thời báo” in
the old style of decoration
just like the "Hà nội mới“
board.
• A little newspaper store is
placed next to the news
board.

story in the 1990s.
• “Bé Kiệt“ grocery store will bring
you back to your childhood in the
1990s.
• Crispy raw noodles, drink iced tea
and play games are indispensable.
• In front of the right corner, place a
table. On the shelf there are jars
of candy stacked up on each
other.
• In the right corner there hang
bags of bread on a shelf
• The bottom right corner is full of

in the 2000s.
• At the background of the
booth there is a cabinet for
television.
• In front of the cabinet is a set
of a table and chairs. An old
phone is put on the table.
• There place an old-fashioned
computer in the left corner
and a wooden rocking chair

• Posters of music bands and

shop “Ké (Miếng) Thoi” in 2010s.
• A milk tea bar is placed in the
right corner. On the bar there
are ingredients and tools to
make the drinks.

• A cupboard to show popular

• An area for lemon tea with
some small stools and small
tables is located outside the

• Words connecting is a trendy game on
social media.
• When checking in the show, guests will
receive a lottery to join the game. In the
game, MC will read out loud the numbers
and the first person to get the bingo will be
the winner.
• A polo light following the models when they
are doing the catwalk.
• Two headlights lighten the 8 models who are
together standing at the main stage.
Meanwhile, the other lights in the booths
and the room will be turned off in order to
completely highlight the stage.
• Using a classic orange light so that viewers
feel like they are back to the old times of
Vietnam.
• Before the fashion show, there will be four
small headlights lighting up each booth,
which is not too bright to not attract the
attention of the guests.

Board, the Faculty Board and the
monitors of other classes in the PR &
Communication Faculty.
Offline promotion:
• Set up standees at floor 1-6-11-
14-20.
• Poster hanging on the 1st floor
and in front of the elevator door.
• Contact with the Faculty Board
and lecturers to inform other
classes about the event.
• Send invitations to the lecturers
in PR Faculty and other faculties
as well as the School Board.

  • 5. B R I E F We are stepping into the first half of the year 2020. This year is a milestone which marks the beginning of a new decade. This is also the right time for us to look back at the bygone development of the country. Coming together with the passing of time is the evolution of culture, beauty and human beings. These aspects are all expressed through the lens of fashion. Chúng ta đang dần bước qua nửa đầu của năm 2020 - một năm cột mốc với sự mở đầu cho niên kỷ mới với những xu hướng mới. Đây cũng là một thời điểm vàng để chúng ta nhìn lại chặng đường đã qua trên hành trình xây dựng và đổi mới đất nước. Song hành cùng tiến trình của thời đại là sự phát triển về văn hóa, thẩm mỹ và con người. Những khía cạnh đó đều được thể hiện qua lăng kính là thời trang.
  • 6. B R I E F LUAN THOI is a fashion show which glorifies the beauty of Vietnamese women over the last decades. là một sự kiện thời trang nhằm tôn vinh nét đẹp của người phụ nữ Việt Nam qua các thời kỳ.
  • 7. B R I E F “Luan”, which means “loop”, represents continuity and repetition. This is a characteristic of fashion: A fashion style never dies, it only fades away and waits for a return in a brand new age. “Thoi” in Vietnamese is not only fashion but also the time, which means contemporaneity is an indispensable element in fashion and culture. “Luân” trong “luân chuyển” thể hiện sự liên tục và rồi lặp lại như một vòng tròn khép kín. Đó cũng là một đặc điểm của thời trang: Thời trang không mất đi, nó chỉ tạm lắng xuống và rồi trở lại ở một thời kỳ mới. “Thời” không chỉ là thời trang mà còn là thời gian, qua đó cho thấy, tính thời đại luôn là yếu tố đi kèm trong những xu hướng về văn hoá nói chung và thời trang nói riêng.

  • 9. EVENT CONCEPT: is a time travel which provides people knowledge about the change in the beauty of Vietnamese women over the last four decades. Experience - not only see them but also be them, by wearing iconic clothes, dancing in classic songs and falling in love with vintage designs. Beauty travel brings us a special feeling towards traditional values as well as creates the sense of fashion. Beauty Travel - It’s a fairytale! But now you are in it.

  • 22. D E P L O Y M E N T 08:00 – 08:20: Guests welcoming 08:20 – 08:45: Opening performances 08:45 – 09:00: Introduction 09:00 – 09:45: Fashion show 09:45 – 10:15: Warm-up game 10:15 – 10:40: Ending performance 10:40 – 11:30: Photo booth shooting
  • 23. • Guests check-in and receive a lottery from the PGs which will be used for the game. • Freely take photos with models who have already stood in the photo booths. WELCOMING

VENUE • Photo booths will be placed in the corners of the room. • The stage will be placed in the center so that the guests can watch the performances as widely as possible. • A runway stage will also be built for the fashion show’s catwalk. • Seats for guest will be placed around the runway stage. • F&B stall and Gifts stalls will be place in the middle of the booths.

Meanwhile, the other lights in the booths and the room will be turned off in order to completely highlight the stage. • Using a classic orange light so that viewers feel like they are back to the old times of Vietnam. • Before the fashion show, there will be four small headlights lighting up each booth, which is not too bright to not attract the attention of the guests. Online promotion: • Create a separate Fan Page to update event information so people can easily follow the activities of the page. • Send messages and emails for media support on other fanpages and groups in UEF. • Send invitation emails to the School Board, the Faculty Board and the monitors of other classes in the PR & Communication Faculty.

Offline promotion: • Set up standees at floor 1-6-11- 14-20. • Poster hanging on the 1st floor and in front of the elevator door. • Contact with the Faculty Board and lecturers to inform other classes about the event. • Send invitations to the lecturers in PR Faculty and other faculties as well as the School Board.
