2. Water is very essential for livings and the used of water help cover all
activities in our daily life's. However, almost 50% of water had been waste
through leaks in metropolis in way to develop world.(1) In addition, water is one
of the renewable source other than geothermal and solar energy hence the
shortage of water can affect the future.
introduction
3. Advancement which comply with
the needs of the contemporary
without compromising the ability
of future generations to meet
their own right.(2)
Sustainability not only limited on
environment meanwhile on
creating equality and also
develop personal benefits among
the society.
This sustainability development
should be applied on future and
present situation to ensure the
impact can be seen from time to
time to live in healthy
environment.
The ability on building an
comprehensive, sustainable and
volatile future for the next
generation and world.
SUSTAINABLE ON
DEVELOPMENT
4. A ‘green’ building is a building that, in its
design, construction or operation, reduces or
eliminates negative impacts, and can create
positive impacts, on world climate and
natural environment. (4)
What is green building?
In order to get a green building
environment, society should take seriously
on this aspects :
The benefit of green building can affect in
three terms which is economical, social and
environmental.
WATER ENERGY HEALTH 3R
5. Water efficiency
In definition, water efficiency is cut
down the uses of water by ensure
the amount of water needed for
certain purpose and water used or
delivered.(3)
6. WATER EFFICIENCY IN MALAYSIA
It has been estimated that
each of us enjoy a per capita
renewable water of more
than 5,000 m3 per person per
year.(5)
In Malaysia, 5% of our river
basins are severely polluted
and 42% are polluted,
leaving only 53% of all
rivers classified as "clean“.(6)
7. TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY
USED WATER
EFFICIENCY
Water harvesting system. Water saving devices.
Grey water recycling system
Hydro-pneumatic water supply
systems
8. ADVANTAGES OF WATER EFFICIENCY
Saving money Protecting drinking water
Save aquatic environment
reduce the need for new waste
water treatment facilities
9. CHALLENGE
TO SUSTAIN THE WATER
EFFICIENCY
In 2050,the population of global will reach
almost 9 millions people and half of it will
live in water scarce area.
Deforestation and urbanization in building
will affect the quality of freshwater
In one residents,1/4 of residents cant
access safe water due to toxic, sewage
and pollution due to contaminants.
12. EFFECT ON HUMAN AND HEALTH
A good quality of water will prevent a human from any illness can
cause harm and fatigue. Example of illness are irritation of eyes, nose
and throat.
Water also essential for food industry and agriculture industry can
supply good quality of food to human.
A good quality water also can provide the best drinking water to
human .
13. EFFECT ON ENVIRONMNET
Helps to reduce wastewater treatment cost on the rivers, bays and also
estuaries.
In other hand, it also reduces energy required to process residential
hence reduce the percentage of pollution and save fuel resources.(8)
It also affect the future for recreational purpose such as beautifying the
garden and others.(9)
14. EFFECT ON COUNTRY
With an excellent supply of water in a country, it helps
the population to growth in a better way.
Moreover, with a good growth of population helps to
increase the economy of the country nevertheless will
create a good image of the country.
15. Suggestion for implementation and support sustainable goal of water
efficiency
Its very important to get a clean water and
sanitation in order to prevent from any serious illness. In
large scale society, every individuals should take part to
ensure the sustainability of the water can supply the
freshwater to enhance the scarcity of the country.
Furthermore, the number of people suffer from water
scarcity also can be reduced from time to time. The natural
resources of water from ecosystem such as lake, river and
mountain also should be conserved.
16. For living things underwater should be conserved and
supplied with a quality natural water resources. The value of
underwater things such as coastal biodiversity and marine life
is very important for scientific information for future
generation.(10) Otherhand, campaign of 3R can be
implemented on society to create awareness on how to
improve the quality of water resources. For example, they
need to recycle plastic bottle using recycle bin instead of
throwing away on sea or near the beach.
17. Potential unethical problems and suggestion
Don’ts Do’s
Let the tap running freely while brushing
teeth or wash face.
Ensure to closed the tap water while doing
other things.
Take a longer time for shower Ensure to take a shorter time to take
shower
Only wash a certain type of cloth in
washing machine
Ensure to full loads the washing machine
and dishwasher
Ignore the dripping water even though
only in small amount.
