Advanced Materials Corporation, now NOVTEK CORPORATION was founded
in November 1997 by a group of highly skilled and dedicated Chemical

11. SURFACE PREPARATION
1. Remove all dust, oil or traces of
foreign materials. Dampen the dry
concrete or plastered surface before
application of NovTek Skim Coat.
12. MIXING PROCEDURE
2. Add approximately 8 liters
of water to 25kg of NovTek
Skim Coat or 7 liters to a
20kg bag. Mix thoroughly
for several minutes until
desired homogenous paste
is achieved. For COLORED
Skim Coat, use an electric
mixer for 2-3 minutes until
an even color is attained.

paste over the surface to be
skimmed in a back and forth
strokes depending on the thickness

FOR NOVTEK SKIMCOAT SUPERFINE, STANDARD &
COARSE GRADE
It is required to apply primer (FLAT-LATEX) before you
can apply gloss or semi-gloss water based topcoat and
elastomeric paint. For solvent base paint such as,
ACRYLIC, EPOXY or POLYURETHANE paint topcoat, use
appropriate primer for best result .

3. For plaster applications, such as floors, bathrooms,
basements or roof decks – use a steel trowel.
4. Allow to harden in about six (6) hours then apply a
second coat.
5. Depending upon gravity of waterproofing
requirement, apply a third coat.
