The Director




The director is the one responsible for the project
and how it is executed. The director usually comes
up with the genre and plot, hires the actors, arranges
the location and directs the filming and editing
process. The director’s input is what sets the product
to a particular standard. The director usually controls
the films artistic and dramatic aspects, while guiding
the cast and crew.
The directors role is on-going throughout the pre
production stage to the post production stage of the
film making process they are required to have a
constant input while making the film.
The Cameraperson




The cameraman is the one responsible for physically
operating the camera and maintaining the
shots, camera angles, movements and composition
through out a given scene or shot. In narrative
filmmaking, the camera operator will co-operate with
the director, actors and other crew members to make
technical and creative decisions.
The cameraman is usually in the whole of the filming
process as they capture the director’s vision of what
the film should be like.
The Editor


This person is vital to the outcome of the final
product. Once the footage has been filmed, it is the
editors job entirely to manipulate the footage to
produce and continuous and accurate interpretation
of the director’s intentions. The editor is responsible
for aligning and combining the shots and
footage, mixing and matching the raw footage and
combing them into sequences to create a finished
motion picture. The editor role is part of the post
production of the filmmaking process.
Sound person
 the sound person is responsible for the audio of the
film. They are in charge of the sound
effects, background music, and any audio that has
been added to enhance the final product. This
includes adding songs, diagetic and non-diagetic
sounds, synchronous and asynchronous sounds and
general atmospheric sounds.
 The sound person plays a major part in the
production as sound can change the way people are
representated in the film and can potentially make or
break the film.
Who is who?
Director: Visho Ravindran
 Why?: Because Visho has directed in
films before and has had experience
making films. He was also director in the
previous As production and had done a
great job in directing the film.

Who is who?
Cameraman: Niraj Magudia
 Why?: able to use the camera effectively
and efficiently, with experience in using
a camera and also being a cameraman
in the last production, has improved
there camera skills and become
confident while taking hard shots, he is a
very good listener and will be able to
follow the ideas of the director while also
having his own input.

Who is who?
Editor: Alexander Masha
 Why?: the editor plays an important role
in the production of a film so as
Alexander was the only one with the
experience and editing skills in the
group we decided that he should be the
editor.

Who is who?
Sound person: Alexander Masha
 Why?: Alex is also the editor in this
production and as he has experience
with doing the sound we decided that it
would be better if he had the sound
roles again
