After speaking with me a little, it doesn't take long to realize I am a giant nerd. I love Science Fiction and I never turn down a good Outer Limits or
Doctor Who marathon. It makes my heart beat fast when I hear the words "There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the
picture. We are controlling transmission" or "Are you my mummy?" Just thinking about it now makes me a bit giddy.
Recently, I was very excited to be a part of a discussion on aliens. The topic was "What if the aliens were actually watching us?" Even further, what if
they were watching us and judging us based on how we treat people with disabilities. Perhaps that's why aliens haven't communicated with us. Why
people with disabilities though? Think about it. People with disabilities are an incredibly diverse community. Anyone can be disabled. Race, wealth,

In "The Alien", Delanty explains the anxious feeling that parents have before having a baby and uses the motif of space to try to explain how parents
try to answer some of the questions they have. As the experience of having a child is new to these parents, they use a metaphor to compare their child
to an "alien" and a "martian" (Delanty 9, 11). This demonstrates that they are anxious because they neither know how the child will behave nor how to
cooperate with the new child. They also have other questions about their coming child, expressed when Delanty writes, "we're anxious/ to make

Alien is truly amazing from beginning to end as the hands on effort and imagination of Ridley Scott is stunning, even in this day and age of special
effects and CGI. The designs of Giger are wildly indigenous and memorable and the editing by Terry Rawlings was the best thing I seen for a 1979

concerned, everyone else can just flush their so–called monsters down the sewer. There just can't be anything in reality or the human imagination that

When it comes to anything about conflict in immigration there is always a huge debate. There are two sides to every story and both make very good
supportive arguments. Some with very compelling statistical reports. But which are true? That's for you to decide. Is undocumented alien illegal

immigration: reformation of the system, amnesty, and the over effects. This raises the question, just how do undocumented immigrants affect the US,
politically, socially, and economically?
Many immigrants are currently coming to the US illegally are from Latin America. Back in the late 1800's we had a different type of immigration
problems with the Chinese. On May 6, 1882 president Chester A. Arthur signed the Chinese exclusion act which prohibited all Chinese from entering
the US (wikipedia). Back in those times there was less sensitivity towards racism. One thing that was similar between the two times were their motives

I love Science Fiction and I never turn down a good Outer Limits or Doctor Who marathon. It makes my heart beat fast when I hear the words "There is nothing wrong with your television set.
