2. My music magazine has a variety of
representations and I tried to make each as
positive as possible.
3. Gender
• My magazine shows more of a representation of females.
I seem to have presented them to be quite punk rock in
my magazine. The physicality and closeness of the two
girls on my cover could suggest that women are more
likely to be close nit. In addition I have a female editor
for the magazine and this could show work equality. As I
have predominantly girls in my magazine it shows how
women have become a bigger part of the music industry
and shows equality in the industry today.
4. Age
• My magazine focuses of young adults and I have
portrayed them as grateful and very dedicated. I say this
because my interview gives that impression and they also
show a wide knowledge of music today which is also a
reflection of how music is a big part of this age group.
This age representation may challenge stereotypes that
young adults in today's society are lazy or not as hard
working as people used to be in the past.
5. Social Class
• I don’t think my music magazine represents a particular
social class but I would say that the interview gives away
that the two people are of a working class background.
The fact that the two are very grateful for their success
and they talk about how they adore their fans then this
would portray working class people to be hard working
and also appreciative of others and what others do for
them.
