2. When and how did Lady Gaga’s career
begin?
• Lady Gaga first started singing at the age of four
years old.
• Initially her career began at the age of fourteen
because she started to sing at open mic nights. At
the age of nineteen, Gaga was signed to Def Jam
Recordings, but was dropped from the label
shortly after being signed. With the help of
producer Rob Fusari, Gaga managed to get
herself a record deal with Interscope Records and
has since stayed signed to them.
3. Who creates her outfits and tour
concepts?
• The Haus of Gaga, which is a close group of
her friends, who were the main creator’s of
her extravagant outfits and costumes. One of
the main collaborator’s of her choice of
costume was fashion designer Nicola
Formichetti, who inspired the unrestrained
meat dress outfit. She has also owrked with
Gareth Pugh, who has designed outfits for her
for numerous occasions.
4. How is this funded?
• This is mostly funded by ticket sales of
concerts, and quantity sold of albums and
songs in stores and online. It is also partially
funded by her record label since they are
expected to give her some capital in order for
her to continue to do what she does.

• Gaga’s fan base is known as the “Little
Monsters”. Gaga has managed to create a
niche market of fans due to a majority of them
being either bisexual or homosexual since she
is incredibly supportive of gay rights and to
live freely the way you want to. Her insane
dress sense has encouraged fans to try and
dress like her which has made her increasingly
popular because her bold behaviour has
influenced people to be themselves.
7. Views Gaga has about the world
• She is in full support of the LGBT community,
therefore is admired by many. She is very
open about how she feels about certain
things, and isn’t afraid to give her opinion
which presents her realistic approach to the
world. Her fans fully support all of her views
because they are inspired by her and idolise
her.
