Theme Of Education In Make Lemonade
Do you know someone who had to sacrifice their education because the had children before
graduation? Have you ever met someone who's biggest goal is to make it to college? These are two
examples of what characters are going through during the novel. Make Lemonade by Virginia
Euwer Wolff, is a story about the financial struggles some people have to to go through in life. It is
also about how you have to step up and help these people if you are in a better position than them.
Throughout the book there are a few very obvious themes. One is the fact that the characters want
education in order to achieve their dreams and benefit their lives. They know that it will help them
later in life.
Throughout the story of Make Lemonade, there are examples of education being very, very
important to the story and the conflict in it. Both LaVaughn and Jolly both know that education
would benefit their lives for the better. One example of the characters knowing this is when
LaVaughn says: "Then you get a good job and you live in a nice place with no gangs writing all over
the walls"' (Wolff 9). When the word college was being used very frequently in her household she
thought and realized that she knows going to college will help her get a better job for herself later.
Going almost hand in hand with this quote, LaVaughn gives more evidence to show that she knows
college will benefit her when she says: "It would be college for Verna LaVaughn and a good job and
not any despair" (Wolff 65).

The Community For Survival And Support Essay
Communities play an important role in many lives. Communities are people that come together in a
time of need. It doesn't matter who you are, or where you live, you have a community around you.
Communities are held together by compassion, understanding and the heart of the community is the
volunteers. I live in a smaller community, with four schools. My community is full of various races,
lifestyles, and people. Because there is such a variety of people in my community it is easy to see
the needs for some more than others. One thing is for sure many people rely on the community for
survival and support. I had this paper done, last week, and for some reason I did not want to turn it
in I kept going back and changing a few things, but for the most part, I felt I had completed it. I
recently moved to this small community about a year ago and have never witnessed or experienced
the power of this community until this last week when a horrible tragedy in our school community
occurred. A little girl in the class I assist in was ran over by a truck. Her condition and outlook was
at first, was very grim. One thing I can say about this little girl is she is feisty and determined but
with the reports coming in, we realized this may be so much more than her. All we had was positive
thoughts and prayers; the feeling of helplessness was the worst feeling ever. The counselor came
into our room the next day, and told the kids what happened (of course we could not tell them,

Sonnet 6 Analysis
Aj Giosa Mr. Foley Sonnet 6 Explication 26 November 2017 Sonnet 6 is notable for the ingenious
multiplying of conceits and especially for the concluding pun on a legal will in the final couplet: "Be
not self–willed, for thou art much too fair / To be death's conquest and make worms thine heir."
Here, as earlier in the sonnet, the poet juxtaposes the themes of narcissism and death, as well as
procreation. "Self–willed" echoes line 4's "self–killed," and the worms that destroy the young man's
dead body will be his only heirs should he die without begetting a child which shows the theme of
death. The whole sonnet is about trying to persuade the man to have a baby hence the theme if
procreation. And lastly, the man is being selfish in wanting to die without passing on his beauty. The
sonnet continues from sonnet 5 and is telling a young man to not let his wintery old age destroy his
summer beauty. Meaning he should have children to pass down his good genes before he passes
away along with his beauty. In the middle of the sonnet where the volta begins at line 6, talking
about giving your body to a woman will make her happy and she will repay you with a baby. Now
the real turn is having a baby or "thyself breed another thee" which is line 7. In the beginning of the
poem having a child was about passing on his beauty rather than being happy. The new point is to
make a new you so you keep living and conquer death. On to the end of the sonnet at line 11,which
emphasizes the new

A Short Story : The Story Of Yukino's Story
There was once a girl named Yukino ,she was a little baby around the age of 3–5 years old, she was
always jumping around while laughing and screaming. Her eyes were as brown as the fresh wet soil.
Her skin was a pale as the fluffy white clouds in the sky. Her eyes were a peculiar color ,they were a
dark crimson shade. Now at 11 years old she is in 4th grade she jumps around the classroom while it
is free time sitting next to somebody random and poking them until they say,
"Stop jeez you're so annoying", the boy says
"Oh ok sorry" she says as she sits back down at her seat
Now she knows not to annoy other people and keep boundaries and not care what other people think
of her. Don't let people bully you don't fight back but do tell and adult. Don't be afraid to speak up
and if you keep it to yourself it'll just get worst and you'll get hurt even more. Don't keep your
problems to yourself ask someone for help. She is now graduating from elementary school to middle
school but first as always even if she passes the class she always has to go to summer school. She is
now in summer school she told herself that she would change and tell no one she is into anime and
sonic so she attempted to be a shy girl but of course she that didnt work out she ended up jumping
around acting how she usually does. Then she sees this girl who has a dimpled face she runs up to
her and says
"Oh My Gosh you have dimples they are so cute"
She says while pinching her cheeks

The Story Of My Life
"Mom, Leya's gonna be over any second to pick me up for school. I figured I'd go ahead and tell you
bye since you don't look like you're coming down anytime soon." I plucked a sloppy kiss on her
cheek as she gave me an awkward half–hug while shuffling through some more papers on her desk
in a nonplussed manner.
"Sorry, Babe. Have a good day at school. Oh, before you leave!" I dreadfully turned back to face her
in the doorway, aware that I now had her full attention for a reason I could tell that I wasn't going to
like. "This Charlie kid... he seems pleasant enough. Are you two... more than just friends, by
chance?"
"UM, MOM!" I placed a hand to my temple exasperatedly. "We're just psych partners. No need to
further investigate."

I won't be two minutes," I promised as I turned to go back into the house.
"If you're more than that, does that mean I get to come into your room?!" he called from behind me
before I could open the door.
This caused me to snap my head back with my mouth completely agape as I took in the same stupid
smile on his face. "How dare you?! Just... wait out here! UGH!" He had me flustered, and he knew
it; I could tell by the cackle that next rose from the depths of his throat. I proceeded to change into
the only clean clothes I appeared to have left: an off–the–shoulder, mid–sleeve cream blouse that
Eric's ex–girlfriend had gotten me for my birthday (it was one of his longest relationships, and she
was one committed gal) and a pair of blue jean shorts that Leya had left at my place. It was just my
luck that I had to wear the most uncomfortable thing I owned the day Charlie unexpectedly decided
to show up.
"Mal? That you? Is something the matter?" my mother called from the farthest reaches of her study.
"Nothing, Ma! Just forgot my textbook!" I yelled back.
"All right! Be careful next time! We can't afford anything that's going to hinder you from getting a
scholarship!" I knew she meant well, but the pressure still rose at the sharing of that comment.
"'Course, Mom!" I then slipped quietly out the door and cleaned up the yogurt with the paper towels
I had grabbed from the kitchen on my way out the second time. I put the mess in the trash can out by

Kat 's Life
The back door slid shut behind her, just as silently as usual. Streaming in through large windows and
the spotless glass wall in the living room, sunlight warmed the house. The house was silent, the
lingering smell of fresh coffee beans and scrambled eggs. Walking across the smooth, pine,
hardwood floors and up the cream colored, just–steamed carpets brought back memories, but
Phillipa wouldn't allow herself to reminisce now. Kat had called her here for a reason, though she'd
sounded unbelievably distant due to her raging fever, and Phillipa had to fulfill her duty as a best

furniture scattered haphazardly about. Multicolored muslin tapestries of zodiacs and mandalas
littered the walls and ceiling, some taught, others drooping from their moorings. Underneath the
recently acquired hangings was the old wall, painted, repainted, and still unfinished; a great
unrestrained mish mash of colors that represented Kat's mood. Phillipa was proud to see the many
still–odorous, bright streaks of sunsets, and less oceanic, moody splotches. There had been so many
of the depressed hues casting unhealthy opalescent reflections onto Kat's pale, unhealthy skin last
year. The rest of the room was a multitudinous arrangement of various furniture; chairs, modern and

Downtown Massillon
On October 14 I attended a New Wave concert in Downtown Massillon. This concert was actually
apart of a larger event called the Massillon Zombie Walk which is held once a year. Most everyone
dressed as a zombie. There was even a man who dressed as a Soviet spy zombie who made my
night. He walked down the sidewalk with an accordion, a hammer and sickle pin, and a giant fur hat.
Other zombies swarmed around him as I realized that I'm pretty lucky to live in an area that
treasures local gatherings and celebrations.
The night began with a Thriller performance in front of the Massillon public library. About 20 or so
people performed the iconic dance as Michael Jackson's audio was played. The people who
performed managed to do a really good job recreating the dance moves we all know so well and
they looked like they had fun. The party moved down to the street beside the Massillon Museum
where the stage was waiting. After we arrived New Wave Nation ran onto the stage and performed
Thriller again. Sadly the lead singer of this band could not match MJ's awesome chops. It was
cringe. All the high notes sounded fuzzy and strained. The tempo seemed too slow. There was a tv
screen behind them that actually played the music video which managed to make their dancers
incompetent. Weird sound effects were added to the end of phrases and instruments were played
along with the original audio.
I hoped with all my heart that they just hadn't warmed up, that it would get better but this was not

Who Is Ezra And Me?
It was difficult to survive without self–preservation, and I believed all things were fair in love and
war. I don't know what drive men like Ezra and me, Marco to do the things we do. I may be looked
upon as the villain of this love story, but the way I saw it, I am merely did what must be done in
order for justice to be served. Each person has their place in this world– some as leaders and others
as followers.
Ezra was known an honest CEO of a powerful company, and a strong man who had a story of rags
to riches. However, despite his renowned wealth he was still an outsider who did not fit into the
society that he strived to be part of.

It was a gloomy day in the Upper East Side. The traffic was minimal, as the sky filled up with gray
clouds; it looked like it was going to rain. The wind brought an eerie chill towards the direction of
two men who could be spotted in the distance, walking down the sidewalk.
"Marco, I love the beautiful Mona. I cannot believe she slipped away. How could she have chosen
such a man, when I love her," confessed Rodrigo.
"Spencer, he is not a fit man for the position he holds. And for god's sake he has chosen Chuck for
the new position. Chuck should have never gotten the job, and Ezra shouldn't even be my boss," I
responded. "I cannot deal with this misery, this weight that is crushing me. If Mona's brother, Ben

Life After Death : Short Story
Life After Death: When Hardship Confronts Forever
A soft hand of a patient slithers through a field of IV's and other medical tubing until it finally
reaches it's destination – my hand. With prolonged tenderness, a thumb caressed my hand, making
small circles in a caring manner as an expression of human empathy. As her cracked lips pivoted
skyward, she closed her eyes and returned to her placid state where she thought of her son, and how
much time she would have left with him. The only thing that comforted her in this moment were the
words we shared. She was a young mother with cancer, and the pain she was going through was
palpable.
"Do you wish to go through with this" I said.
"Yes, I do. It is for the better" Saraya replied. A look of profound sadness had swept over her face.
We both knew this was inevitable. Her son would live his life without a mother at his side. A
cascade of warmth flowed down both our faces.
Josiah could only look at his mother with a gaze of unsurmountable grief. "Why did God let you
have cancer, why didn't he prevent this?"
"My son, I know it is hard." Saraya paused trying to catch her breathe. "You must know that God is
good, and everything he has created is good."
"But you're in so much pain! I'll be all alone! Why does this have to happen! How is this even
good!" Josiah screamed.
"Josiah, all these moments will be lost in time like tears in rain" Saraya replied softly. "I don't have
the answers that will make everything all better, but know that

The Story Of A Ghost Town : A Story
Ghost Town The weather seems to match the old, rundown town; gloomy, dark, always raining. The
people looked dull and a melancholy aura followed most everybody. There is a reason to all this
sadness though, a curse. An old mage casted a spell on the town and its people centuries ago. During
the day, the townsfolk were safe, but the night belonged to the mythical creatures of the world.
Anyone who goes out after dark is said to turn into one of the creatures and roam the city, forever
stuck in a never ending dream. Many people were going missing, most recent the parents of a girl
named Eren. The town adopted her as a whole, but she stayed at an orphanage. She could be found
in the old library, silently sitting, only making sound to flip a page. On a chilly October evening, she
was scanning the books with her eyes, when a small red book peaked her interest. As she dragged
her fingers down the spine of the book, it smelled of dust, she slowly opened it to the first page. She
gasped and shut it when she heard footsteps and soft giggling. Eren sighed deeply, but a small smile
crept on her lips, it was only her friends trying to scare her for the millionth time. "I know it's you
guys, cut it out." The footsteps stopped and there was sume shushing, but eventually her best friend
Amora came out, still clad in her school uniform. "Sorry sorry, just wanted to have a little fun, it's
always so boring in here with all the books and the reading. I want you to look happier. Anyways

Kindness Essay
If you asked people what they thought kindness was, what would they say? Would they give a
generic answer? Would they say they didn't know? Many would say that is being nice to others. But
is that REALLY what kindness is? Is kindness for people to show appreciation for others? Is it a
way to show that you love someone? Not recently. Recently it has become a mask, a way to gain
attention, and a way to make people think you are better than them.
Kindness is a mask people use to hide their true identity. People use kindness as an excuse to draw
attention to themselves. It is used as a way for people to say, "Hey, look at me! I did something
nice!" Quite often, celebrities and politicians post thing on social media, doing this exact thing. ...

Then, your mom shows up. Immediately that friend "cleans up" their act and starts sucking up to
you. They no longer think you are horrible at everything, they think you are a great contribution to
their life, and they are very appreciative of you. Many people deny that they do this, and that they
are a great people. They act very kind and nice, but truly are just hiding what is truly happening.
Kindness is truly, just a mask, a cover for what we don't want others to see.
Kindness is also a way to get attention. It used as a way to get people to look at you and notice you.
Many use do this everyday. They seek attention, and therefore do something nice. They boast about
it, and get the attention they "deserve." This is something that we see everywhere, all of the time. It
is on social media, the news, and in everyday life. They boast about their kindness, because "You
better toot your own horn. No one else will" (Mr. Rose). Many use this as an excuse to make an act
of kindness. They see an opportunity to get attention and dive right in. They use kindness as the way
to get attention. They use it to get attention and a reputation of perfection. An immense amount of
people boast and brag about how they did something good, and everyone knows. They tell everyone
and hope to get people telling them they are so cool, and that they are perfect. But this just makes
people think that they are better than others.

Learn to be happy for no reason. If you 're happy for a reason, you 're in trouble – because that
reason can be taken away from you.
One of the single–greatest personal development and consciousness expansion techniques is the art
of learning to be happy for absolutely no reason at all.
I 'm well aware that the above might sound slightly delusional. This is understandable, but it 's also
due to the fact that most people merely assume you have no right to be happy "until you 've earned
it".
When you come to the conscious realization that you 've merely been policing your own thinking –
and that 's all that 's preventing genuine happiness – you reclaim your true power as an individual.
BE Happy
Genuine happiness is a state of being – NOT a result of external conditions lining up "just right".
External conditions will never be lined up perfectly – and if they ever do line up optimally – it won
't be for long.
Nothing external to your consciousness is permanent. Anything you tether your happiness to – be it
people, places, or things

I Had Been Out Of The Hospital For Two Weeks Essay
I had been out of the hospital for two weeks. I was staying on track with my medicine, with the help
of my husband Bryon. I have been dealing with depression for a while now and I eventually ended
up being emitted to the hospital. I decided to take time off work for a while until I got back in the
swing of things. Me and my husband Bryon decided that was the best thing to do. Every day Bryon
would make sure I took my medicine in the morning before he went to work and every evening
when he got back. That's what my psychiatrist recommended we do. I had been suicidal, and they
wanted to make sure didn't try anything to take my life. Bryon removed all of the sharp objects from
the house, like knives and scissors. I didn't feel like all of that was necessary, but I could see why he
did that with the state of mind I was in before I was emitted to the hospital. Battling with severe
depression took a toll on me. There was no definite cause for my depression either. It's like no
matter how good things were going in my life, there would always be a little bit of sadness that
lingered. I was feeling confident that I was going to really get better and more stable. It is just so
hard sometimes to find the medicine that worked. It is like trial and error. My medicine would have
to be adjusted to get me feeling the best I could, but I was hoping that this was a real fix. I mean I
knew that I would not always be happy because in life we all go through ups and downs, but I just

The Interpretation Of The Beatles : The Sweet Meaning...
Music can change a person's mood in a matter of seconds. For most people, Music is their escape
from the real word. One of the most popular bands in the world was the Beatles. They have inspired
multiple people with their music and have had numerous hits including "Penny Lane", "Love Me
Do" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". One particular song, "Hey Jude" was written and released in
1968; it promptly became a number one seller on the charts for 9 weeks ("The Sweet Meaning
Behind The Beatles"). "Hey Jude" made people realize that can take any situation and turn it better
just by being positive. The song not only has numerous interpretations, but it also has numerous
hidden meaning people wouldn't notice unless they took the time ("The Sweet Meaning Behind the
Beatles"). The main meaning behind "Hey Jude" has never been released, but everyone has their
own ideas of why McCartney wrote it. One interpretation and the reasoning McCartney claims is
that he wrote it for Lennon's son, Julian, about when Lennon left his son and wife for Yoko Ono. To
many kids, this could be a traumatic experience; Julian was not an exception to this. Having a
person's dad's best friend trying to comfort them and tell them that everything is fine makes any

A Short Note On ' Flower '
"Flower, would you, perhaps, care to pass the extra package of seeds?" asked my father, looking up
from where he was leaning over. "Oh, yes, sir!" I replied, walking over and giving him the package
of cabbage seeds. He smiled at me, turning back around towards the dirt. After making a small hole
in the ground, he dropped two seeds into the hole, compressing the earth around the seed to ensure
that there was absolutely no air to prevent the seeds from rooting. My father was wearing his
informal trousers, complete with work boots, a pair of ratty suspenders, and a plain white button–
down underneath. Upon his head was a black wide–brimmed hat, simple but effective at blocking
the sun from his eyes. As for myself, I was similar in the theme. I wasn 't wearing my best clothing,
just shorts that I didn 't care much more and an old t–shirt. On my head was a straw hat to keep the
sun out of my eyes, and I was barefoot, not caring much for wearing shoes in a time like this. "You
know, Sylvia," he began, "It 's a humbling responsibility to take care of greenery. In fact, I 'm
confident that it is one of the very best ways to build character. Everyone should have a garden. In
fact, I once petitioned to the king that all of the houses should have their own garden. At first he

Riding The Pine: Tim Bowling's personal reflection of professional hockey in "Na Na Na Na, Hey
Hey Hey Goodbye"
In "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey Goodbye," Tim Bowling, an author, poet, and a fishing boat
deckhand (Stewart et al 237), articulates how professional hockey has evolved over his lifetime. He
laments how a game he was enamoured with no longer captures his complete attention and is not as
relevant in his life as it once was. However, Bowling admits he still has a sheepish curiosity for the
latest news and highlights (238), is still "mildly attracted" (239) to the game for its grace, beauty,
and skill (239), and yearns for a Stanley Cup Final with two Canadian teams; most importantly a
final with the Toronto Maple Leafs and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like many Canadians, Bowling can recite simple statistics about the game; six of seven Sutter
brothers played in the NHL (239) or Bobbi Clarke's battle with diabetes are a couple of examples. It
is easy to determine, from his narrative and expressions, Bowling is a fan of hockey and has been
for his entire life. Like many other fans, he realizes the game has changed and in his opinion, not for
the better. Along with his narrative, Bowling uses contrast to support his opinion in such a way that
balances the old traditions with the new nuances of the game. For example, Bowling draws on some
parallels of one of the newest superstars in the league, Sidney Crosby, to unequivocally the greatest
player of the game Wayne Gretzky: Sidney Crosby "is expected to challenge the scoring statistics of
Gretzky one day" (239). Bowling continues to use contrast comparing the years it takes to master
skating with the simple fundamentals of running, jumping, and catching (239); basic skills used in
baseball, basketball and football. His view is that hockey players are the most skilled athletes in the
world and other athletes pale in comparison. Furthermore, he adds to this contrast by stating "if you
can't skate, you can't even take to the playing surface." (239); this description compliments the
demands, skill, grace and beauty of the game of

Cultural And Cultural Diversity In Hey Arnold
As a kid, watching television was one of my favorite things to do. It seemed as if when the TV was
on, the world stopped moving for an hour or two. There were many shows from my childhood that
helped shape me into the person I am today, but the one that stood out amongst the rest was Hey
Arnold. The hit 90's show Hey Arnold enculturated children through illustrating social acceptance,
self–confidence, and displaying resilience through hardships.
As a young child growing up in the late 90s/early 00s, Hey Arnold helped me become a more
culturally and socially accepting individual through the consistent exposure of different ethnicities
and family structures. For example, Arnold's grandparents housed two immigrants Mr. Hyunh from
Vietnam and Oskar Kokoshka from Czechoslovakia. These two men from two entirely different
cultural backgrounds were able to share a home, as well as guide Arnold through several issues he

Hey Me: An Analysis Of Hey Professor's Hey You
Hey you Professor, reading this novice's attempt to explain "hey you". Hey Professor, I feel the need
to acknowledge you in this analysis of "Hey you", because I value your opinion of me. The
verification of my understanding of the "Hey You" is only important in relation to you, because I
value your intelligence. If you thought I was stupid would be devastating to me. The vulnerability of
acknowledging I care is devastating. Caring led to emotions and emotion led to disappointment.
When caring is not returned it can be overwhelming. Society have made mockeries of people trying
to care. "Hey you is Pink Floyd trying to care again. "Hey you is an interpellation. An interpellation

Analysis Of Hey Now You Re An Allstar
Smash Mouth is a rock band that started in 1997. In the 1990's innumerable amounts of rock bands
were performing. Consequently, they didn't have much popularity before their hit song, "Allstar." In
this song, Smash Mouth explains that sticking out is competent and that you need to be different, to
be unique. The dominant line in the song "Hey now you're an Allstar," is referring to you being
unique. Everything that you perform, that not everyone else executes makes you just as unique and

The Sense Of Belonging Through Human Interaction
In one of the most well–known masterpieces by Pink Floyd, "Hey You", focused on one of the most
important aspects of human life – the sense of belonging through human interaction. The lyric
highlights Roger Waters' skill as a brilliant lyricist and composer, who reaches out to his audience
with the haunting melody and emotionally–charged lyric. Waters has touched many lives with this
piece by explicitly emphasizing on the pain of desolation and disassociation. He constructs his
dialogue based on a life of his former bandmate Syd Barrett, whose life was severely affected by
heavy drugs use, social desolation, and ultimately developed into mental illness.
Waters introduces the audience to the song with the sound of an acoustic guitar in a low lying,
gloomy, yet captivating tone – painting a picture of an eerie state of mind. He then grabs their
attention by using a bold holler and plea, Waters writes:
Hey you out there in the cold,
Getting lonely getting old,
Can you feel me?"
The verse renders an image of isolation and desperation for human interaction and recognition.
Relatedness is one of the most important parts of basic human psychological needs; along with
competence and autonomy, they create a trifecta of conditions that must be met in order for human
to growth and integrate. Failure to satisfy these conditions can have negative impact on human
emotion and can ultimately demoralize and desolate us mentally (Deci, 2000). Waters then repeats

Censorship In Alaskan Culture
A culture discussed in class that had interesting difference to American culture was Alaskan
storytelling where the stressed importance was the relationship of the storyteller to the listener or
audience. I imagined Alaskan populations spread out all over the large state, thus, my amazement
that the oral tradition of storytelling were used with great significance to pass on information,
emphasize morals, and describe the culture to new generations.
A difference that was a surprise was that the children listening to these stories in the Alaskan culture
were never allowed to interrupt the storyteller, where most children in America are more boisterous
and do not have the same level of respect to always sit quietly. However, a similarity between ...

to kill or otherwise hurt you, they could have done it easily already. No matter how much the
woman monster's yelling reminded you of your own mother, or the way Asriel held your arm
reminded you of your brother, they were all so obviously different. Asriel's mother was concerned
about him, and even about you, too, once she realized you were hurt. And Asriel had been nothing

and he blinks in surprise but smiles back. You count that as a victory.
Toriel is looking over your arm, asking how bad it hurts when she touches certain places. It's an
exercise that you don't much enjoy, but you suppose it's necessary if they're going to fix it.
She then announces that you're all heading home, and you don't know how you feel. No matter how
nice they are, you're still trespassing on this kind, caring family. You can't find it in yourself to

find a way to send you home as soon as possible, because their courtesy likely won't extend past the
basics. You'll be right back where you started.

“Hey, Sarah? What Do You Want To Do When You Grow Up?”.
"Hey, Sarah? What do you want to do when you grow up?" My cheerful friend asked out–of–the–
blue, one hot summer evening. It had been an exhausting day at camp: full of rock climbing, zip
lining, horseback riding, and swimming. Our seven–year–old bodies couldn't take much more– we
ached and longed for our beds– but my best friend, Caroline, and I hadn't seen each other for months
and were determined to make the most of our time together. We decided to sneak off to our "secret

I would have screamed at her but I was too busy wondering what that amazing smell was. Guessing
that my grandma made pancakes before we go, which is radical. As I try to bang on the bathroom

It stares at me with its dark red eyes, like it was waiting. I hear a faint ticking noise in my ears from
the silence. It was almost winter, so all the birds were gone.
"All right," I sigh, "You won me over. I shall name you Tick Tock. What gender are you even?"
Tick Tock seemed pleased with the name, but tried to escape when I lifted higher to check the

"There," I say, "Much more presentable for an engagement party, don 't you think?"
I hold him close to my chest as I head back to the manor. Luckily Tick Tock wasn 't too dirty so it

This to me is so surreal and magical and is incomprehensible to even think about.
Recently I was given some advice from a person who mentors me in the music industry. They see
me working 70hors a week to bring music and to write this book and also how hard I work as
background singer for other famous bands.
They say me down and said ' ' Enjoy the journey '. They described there journey and how because of

important.
He said enjoy it when someone comments on your song bad or good. Enjoy the feeling of hearing

the whole damn thing. Because if you dont I 'm a few years you would have forgotten everything
you set out to achieve because you had the eye on the prize.

Hey, You, Get Off of My Cloud: Exploring Information Leakage in Third–Party Compute Clouds
Shilpa Repala– (U00814466)
The intermediary or third parties of cloud computing resources is so well–known now–a–days.
These intermediaries lease a Virtual Machine to a client. A solitary physical machine can provide the
functions of numerous Virtual Machines. The current paper clarifies how the existence of various
VMs on a solitary physical machine be defenseless against assaults by considering the systems the
authors have utilized here as the Amazon EC2 for their contextual analysis. This paper
predominantly concentrates on an issue that leads to inter channel information disclosure or leaks
(which might happen for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Making Amazon EC2 as a research aspect, they demonstrate that it is easy to recognize where a
specific target VM is probably going to live (called as network probing) and then start new Virtual
Machines until the new one is co–resident with considered target machine (called as co–resident
technique). Also with this they investigated how the position of such VM can then lead to cross–talk
assaults across various machines and loss of information transparency.
The first approach is to find the DNS by resolving the query and finding the internal IP address
associated and the name of the instance. By exploiting the use of a function called map in EC2, we
become acquainted with the area of probable suffering VM and all the parameters in regards to the
instantiation of instance. Just later to knowing the cartography of cloud, checking if any two
instances are dwelling or using the same physical resource is confirmed. In this scenario, this is
confirmed by going through the attributes Dom0 IP, Internal IP and round–trip times of the packets.
It checks if the Dom0 IP of both instances is same, if there are short round–trip delays and nearer
internal IP addresses.
To initiate the instances on exact machine as that of our target machine, we instantiate numerous
instances or VMs until it goes exactly to required machine using naïve brute–force approach or we
may directly use location of new VM. Brute force approach is advantageous over others in the sense
that it may not

Personal Narrative Essay : The Escape, The Escape '
The Escape
The ground I was sitting on was cold and wet, the ice–cold breeze whipping at my face. The boat
was rocking ferociously, and the sea sickness was building up in my stomach. The wind was roaring,
and everyone was huddled together to keep warm. I could see a plastic bag floating in the water
below. Suddenly, rain started pouring down and the droplets and hail thudded on the hard, wooden
deck. The strong wind, rain and sea water leaves me cold and shaky. I clutch my jacket closer to me
to keep dry and conserve my body heat. The wind seemed to be getting worse, and the waves were
crashing on the side of the boat, bringing seawater onboard. The small plastic bag reminded me of
how I felt, alone and discarded. My once clean and silken hair is now ragged, wet and dirty. "I just
want to go home" I muttered to myself. Then I remember my mama's words "We will be together
soon darling, and if we're not, I'll always be with you." I curl up into the fetal position and tears start
streaming down my face. I don't know the next time I will see or talk to my mother or my father, but
I will always keep them in the back of my mind, so I can continue my journey. "Where are we

In the story in this instance, Jason sums up his mothers experience with Reg as "Psychologically
tortured." (Coupland, 2003, p.61)
As the story progresses, the readers see a falling out of that marriage for obvious reasons.
It wasn't just his approach to romantic relationships that he retains this "know better then thou"
mentality. In the case of the rest of his family, particularly Jason, he again, shows no remorse for his
own stubborness and unwillingness to bend the blinders that his own strict, blind faith shackled his
vision with. (Coupland, 2003)
In the incident when Jason appears with the police after the school shooting, the officer tells of the
events, Jason's apparent heroism, but the fact that Jason had killed another, despite the reasons
behind it, he states "What I understand is that my son experienced murder in his heart, and chose not
to rise above that impulse. I understand that my son is a murderer."– Quote, Reg (Coupland, 2003,

Reflection About Selfishness
Everybody is bound to be selfish from time to time. Although many elements of our society may
encourage it, selfishness just hurts other people, sometimes at little to no personal gain. A selfish
person also ends up losing friends or loved ones because no matter how charming or interesting a
selfish person may be, a relationship with a selfish person is hard to maintain. A truly selfish person
would never consider the possibility that they are selfish. Many think selfishness and pride are good
things, and that putting the needs of others above your own is for suckers. If you're worried that
you're too selfish and want to be on the path to gratitude and humility, then see Step 1 to get started.

Self–confidence is about balance. At one extreme, we have people with low self–confidence. At the
other end, we have people who may be over–confident.
If you are under–confident, you'll avoid taking risks and stretching yourself; and you might not try
at all. And if you're over–confident, you may take on too much risk, stretch yourself beyond your
capabilities, and crash badly. You may also find that you're so optimistic that you don't try hard
enough to truly succeed.
Getting this right is a matter of having the right amount of confidence, founded in reality and on

any bullets on the mule! Just my hands. I'm real hard–boiled!" He was as proud as us all in this

Toni Lumbada'sThe Lesson, By Toni Bambara
In Toni Bambara's piece "The Lesson", we are given a sort of personal memoir of an experience she
had with a childhood teacher in F.A.O Schwarz. Miss Moore, a college degree holding neighbor that
educated children she lived near took a group of students to one of the biggest toy stores in New
York. On the way to this toy store, Miss Moore was speaking a lot about money and what it truly is,
how it adds up, etc. Upon entrance, Bambara writes about feeling unsettled about trying to go in the
door. She writes further about her experiences and starts to sort of suggest her uneasiness and even
anger about the cost of the toys she saw. She continues to list all of the different things that a $35
dancing clown could do for her family and starts to hint towards the idea of inequality between
classes. Bambara mentions how Miss Moore talks about who you are is where you are and "waits
for somebody to say that poor people have to wake up and demand their share of the pie" (78).
Looking back now, Bambara probably sees exactly that Miss Moore was saying it isn't fair that
people can spend all their money on flashy toys when people are struggling for food although at the
time she admits they had no idea what she was talking about. At the end of their little tour of F.A.O
Schwarz, Bambara's friend mentions how she didn't think the cost of a toy boy could be the
equivalent of what their group ate in a year, and Miss Moore keeps pushing them to continue their
thought process. Bambara quotes Miss Moore to say "'Imagine for minute what kind of society it is
in which some people can spend on a toy what it would cost to feed a family of six or seven'" (79).
As Sugar continues answering Miss Moore's question on how it isn't much of a democracy, Bambara
grows increasingly upset at the willing participation of her friend. I believe this could suggest that
given Miss Moore's education and possible difference between herself and the other children,
Bambara and her friends resented the life Miss Moore seemed to have. The story may seem to some
people to be a coming up story but it isn't that at all. Although at the end of the piece, Bambara
writes "But ain't nobody gonna beat me at nuthin" (79) which can possibly allude the idea that

Hey Jude
Hey Jude – Song analysis
"Hey Jude" is a song by the English rock band The Beatles and was written by Paul McCartney. It
was first released in August 1968 under The Beatles label 'Apple Records'. Hey Jude runs for 7mins
and 11secs and at the time of release was the longest single to top the British charts.
The song is said to have evolved from "hey Jules", a song that had been written as a ballad to
comfort Lennon's son Julian during his parents' divorce. McCartney said,
"I started with the idea 'Hey Jules,' which was Julian, don't make it bad, take a sad song and make it
better. Hey, try and deal with this terrible thing. I knew it was not going to be easy for him. I always
feel sorry for kids in divorces ... I had the idea [for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is however broken at the end of this verse as there is one bar added. Harmonically to do this the
final verse chord is turned into a V/IV allowing the chordal structure to smoothly transition from
verse to bridge.
Bridge 1:
As a result of the verse having a bar added to the end, the first phrase of both bridges have 5 bars
thus mimicking the lead in from verse to bridge making the song stable again. Harmonically the
start and the end of both bridges tonally are quite unstable. The bridge is an unusual 11 and a half
measures long and sees the introduction of a walking Bass line and drums with emphasis on tapping
cymbals. Melodically the main vocal tends to fall throughout the most part of the bridge, barely
rising until the major melody swell that leads to the next verse.
Verse 3:
Verse 3 has the addition of backing vocals in thirds. There is also the introduction of a stray backing
vocal as well. The stray vocal "so let it out and let it in" leads into the lyrical ideas found in the next
bridge. The tambourine in this verse is more frequent and played now as semi–quavers.
Bridge 2: Bridge 2 mirrors bridge 1 harmonically and musically with only slight variance in lyrics
and slightly more ornate lead vocals with more passing notes but still sticking to the diatonic Fmajor
the majority of the time..
Verse 4:
In verse 4 there is a vocal ornamentation of the initial "Hey Jude" phrase,

Education's Role in Make Lemonade

  • 1. Theme Of Education In Make Lemonade Do you know someone who had to sacrifice their education because the had children before graduation? Have you ever met someone who's biggest goal is to make it to college? These are two examples of what characters are going through during the novel. Make Lemonade by Virginia Euwer Wolff, is a story about the financial struggles some people have to to go through in life. It is also about how you have to step up and help these people if you are in a better position than them. Throughout the book there are a few very obvious themes. One is the fact that the characters want education in order to achieve their dreams and benefit their lives. They know that it will help them later in life. Throughout the story of Make Lemonade, there are examples of education being very, very important to the story and the conflict in it. Both LaVaughn and Jolly both know that education would benefit their lives for the better. One example of the characters knowing this is when LaVaughn says: "Then you get a good job and you live in a nice place with no gangs writing all over the walls"' (Wolff 9). When the word college was being used very frequently in her household she thought and realized that she knows going to college will help her get a better job for herself later. Going almost hand in hand with this quote, LaVaughn gives more evidence to show that she knows college will benefit her when she says: "It would be college for Verna LaVaughn and a good job and not any despair" (Wolff 65). ... • 3. The Community For Survival And Support Essay Communities play an important role in many lives. Communities are people that come together in a time of need. It doesn't matter who you are, or where you live, you have a community around you. Communities are held together by compassion, understanding and the heart of the community is the volunteers. I live in a smaller community, with four schools. My community is full of various races, lifestyles, and people. Because there is such a variety of people in my community it is easy to see the needs for some more than others. One thing is for sure many people rely on the community for survival and support. I had this paper done, last week, and for some reason I did not want to turn it in I kept going back and changing a few things, but for the most part, I felt I had completed it. I recently moved to this small community about a year ago and have never witnessed or experienced the power of this community until this last week when a horrible tragedy in our school community occurred. A little girl in the class I assist in was ran over by a truck. Her condition and outlook was at first, was very grim. One thing I can say about this little girl is she is feisty and determined but with the reports coming in, we realized this may be so much more than her. All we had was positive thoughts and prayers; the feeling of helplessness was the worst feeling ever. The counselor came into our room the next day, and told the kids what happened (of course we could not tell them, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Sonnet 6 Analysis Aj Giosa Mr. Foley Sonnet 6 Explication 26 November 2017 Sonnet 6 is notable for the ingenious multiplying of conceits and especially for the concluding pun on a legal will in the final couplet: "Be not self–willed, for thou art much too fair / To be death's conquest and make worms thine heir." Here, as earlier in the sonnet, the poet juxtaposes the themes of narcissism and death, as well as procreation. "Self–willed" echoes line 4's "self–killed," and the worms that destroy the young man's dead body will be his only heirs should he die without begetting a child which shows the theme of death. The whole sonnet is about trying to persuade the man to have a baby hence the theme if procreation. And lastly, the man is being selfish in wanting to die without passing on his beauty. The sonnet continues from sonnet 5 and is telling a young man to not let his wintery old age destroy his summer beauty. Meaning he should have children to pass down his good genes before he passes away along with his beauty. In the middle of the sonnet where the volta begins at line 6, talking about giving your body to a woman will make her happy and she will repay you with a baby. Now the real turn is having a baby or "thyself breed another thee" which is line 7. In the beginning of the poem having a child was about passing on his beauty rather than being happy. The new point is to make a new you so you keep living and conquer death. On to the end of the sonnet at line 11,which emphasizes the new ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. A Short Story : The Story Of Yukino's Story There was once a girl named Yukino ,she was a little baby around the age of 3–5 years old, she was always jumping around while laughing and screaming. Her eyes were as brown as the fresh wet soil. Her skin was a pale as the fluffy white clouds in the sky. Her eyes were a peculiar color ,they were a dark crimson shade. Now at 11 years old she is in 4th grade she jumps around the classroom while it is free time sitting next to somebody random and poking them until they say, "Stop jeez you're so annoying", the boy says "Oh ok sorry" she says as she sits back down at her seat Now she knows not to annoy other people and keep boundaries and not care what other people think of her. Don't let people bully you don't fight back but do tell and adult. Don't be afraid to speak up and if you keep it to yourself it'll just get worst and you'll get hurt even more. Don't keep your problems to yourself ask someone for help. She is now graduating from elementary school to middle school but first as always even if she passes the class she always has to go to summer school. She is now in summer school she told herself that she would change and tell no one she is into anime and sonic so she attempted to be a shy girl but of course she that didnt work out she ended up jumping around acting how she usually does. I plucked a sloppy kiss on her cheek as she gave me an awkward half–hug while shuffling through some more papers on her desk in a nonplussed manner. "Sorry, Babe. Have a good day at school. Oh, before you leave!" I dreadfully turned back to face her in the doorway, aware that I now had her full attention for a reason I could tell that I wasn't going to like. He had me flustered, and he knew it; I could tell by the cackle that next rose from the depths of his throat. I proceeded to change into the only clean clothes I appeared to have left: an off–the–shoulder, mid–sleeve cream blouse that Eric's ex–girlfriend had gotten me for my birthday (it was one of his longest relationships, and she was one committed gal) and a pair of blue jean shorts that Leya had left at my place. It was just my luck that I had to wear the most uncomfortable thing I owned the day Charlie unexpectedly decided to show up. "Mal? That you? Is something the matter?" my mother called from the farthest reaches of her study. "Nothing, Ma! Just forgot my textbook!" I yelled back. "All right! Be careful next time! We can't afford anything that's going to hinder you from getting a scholarship!" I knew she meant well, but the pressure still rose at the sharing of that comment.

The house was silent, the lingering smell of fresh coffee beans and scrambled eggs. Walking across the smooth, pine, hardwood floors and up the cream colored, just–steamed carpets brought back memories, but Phillipa wouldn't allow herself to reminisce now. • 14. Downtown Massillon On October 14 I attended a New Wave concert in Downtown Massillon. This concert was actually apart of a larger event called the Massillon Zombie Walk which is held once a year. Most everyone dressed as a zombie. There was even a man who dressed as a Soviet spy zombie who made my night. He walked down the sidewalk with an accordion, a hammer and sickle pin, and a giant fur hat. Other zombies swarmed around him as I realized that I'm pretty lucky to live in an area that treasures local gatherings and celebrations. The night began with a Thriller performance in front of the Massillon public library. About 20 or so people performed the iconic dance as Michael Jackson's audio was played. The people who performed managed to do a really good job recreating the dance moves we all know so well and they looked like they had fun. The party moved down to the street beside the Massillon Museum where the stage was waiting. After we arrived New Wave Nation ran onto the stage and performed Thriller again. Sadly the lead singer of this band could not match MJ's awesome chops. It was cringe. All the high notes sounded fuzzy and strained. The tempo seemed too slow. There was a tv screen behind them that actually played the music video which managed to make their dancers incompetent. Weird sound effects were added to the end of phrases and instruments were played along with the original audio. I don't know what drive men like Ezra and me, Marco to do the things we do. I may be looked upon as the villain of this love story, but the way I saw it, I am merely did what must be done in order for justice to be served. Each person has their place in this world– some as leaders and others as followers. Ezra was known an honest CEO of a powerful company, and a strong man who had a story of rags to riches. However, despite his renowned wealth he was still an outsider who did not fit into the society that he strived to be part of. *** It was a gloomy day in the Upper East Side. The traffic was minimal, as the sky filled up with gray clouds; it looked like it was going to rain. The wind brought an eerie chill towards the direction of two men who could be spotted in the distance, walking down the sidewalk. "Marco, I love the beautiful Mona. I cannot believe she slipped away. How could she have chosen such a man, when I love her," confessed Rodrigo. "Spencer, he is not a fit man for the position he holds. And for god's sake he has chosen Chuck for the new position. Chuck should have never gotten the job, and Ezra shouldn't even be my boss," I responded. "I cannot deal with this misery, this weight that is crushing me. Life After Death : Short Story Life After Death: When Hardship Confronts Forever A soft hand of a patient slithers through a field of IV's and other medical tubing until it finally reaches it's destination – my hand. With prolonged tenderness, a thumb caressed my hand, making small circles in a caring manner as an expression of human empathy. As her cracked lips pivoted skyward, she closed her eyes and returned to her placid state where she thought of her son, and how much time she would have left with him. The only thing that comforted her in this moment were the words we shared. She was a young mother with cancer, and the pain she was going through was palpable. "Do you wish to go through with this" I said. "Yes, I do. It is for the better" Saraya replied. A look of profound sadness had swept over her face. We both knew this was inevitable. Her son would live his life without a mother at his side. A cascade of warmth flowed down both our faces. Josiah could only look at his mother with a gaze of unsurmountable grief. "Why did God let you have cancer, why didn't he prevent this?" "My son, I know it is hard." Saraya paused trying to catch her breathe. "You must know that God is good, and everything he has created is good." "But you're in so much pain! I'll be all alone! Why does this have to happen! How is this even good!" Josiah screamed. "Josiah, all these moments will be lost in time like tears in rain" Saraya replied softly. "I don't have the answers that will make everything all better, but know that ... • 20. The Story Of A Ghost Town : A Story Ghost Town The weather seems to match the old, rundown town; gloomy, dark, always raining. The people looked dull and a melancholy aura followed most everybody. There is a reason to all this sadness though, a curse. An old mage casted a spell on the town and its people centuries ago. During the day, the townsfolk were safe, but the night belonged to the mythical creatures of the world. Anyone who goes out after dark is said to turn into one of the creatures and roam the city, forever stuck in a never ending dream. Many people were going missing, most recent the parents of a girl named Eren. The town adopted her as a whole, but she stayed at an orphanage. She could be found in the old library, silently sitting, only making sound to flip a page. On a chilly October evening, she was scanning the books with her eyes, when a small red book peaked her interest. As she dragged her fingers down the spine of the book, it smelled of dust, she slowly opened it to the first page. She gasped and shut it when she heard footsteps and soft giggling. Eren sighed deeply, but a small smile crept on her lips, it was only her friends trying to scare her for the millionth time. "I know it's you guys, cut it out." The footsteps stopped and there was sume shushing, but eventually her best friend Amora came out, still clad in her school uniform. If you 're happy for a reason, you 're in trouble – because that reason can be taken away from you. One of the single–greatest personal development and consciousness expansion techniques is the art of learning to be happy for absolutely no reason at all. I 'm well aware that the above might sound slightly delusional. This is understandable, but it 's also due to the fact that most people merely assume you have no right to be happy "until you 've earned it". When you come to the conscious realization that you 've merely been policing your own thinking – and that 's all that 's preventing genuine happiness – you reclaim your true power as an individual. BE Happy Genuine happiness is a state of being – NOT a result of external conditions lining up "just right". External conditions will never be lined up perfectly – and if they ever do line up optimally – it won 't be for long. Nothing external to your consciousness is permanent. I have been dealing with depression for a while now and I eventually ended up being emitted to the hospital. I decided to take time off work for a while until I got back in the swing of things. Me and my husband Bryon decided that was the best thing to do. Every day Bryon would make sure I took my medicine in the morning before he went to work and every evening when he got back. That's what my psychiatrist recommended we do. I had been suicidal, and they wanted to make sure didn't try anything to take my life. Bryon removed all of the sharp objects from the house, like knives and scissors. I didn't feel like all of that was necessary, but I could see why he did that with the state of mind I was in before I was emitted to the hospital. Battling with severe depression took a toll on me. There was no definite cause for my depression either. It's like no matter how good things were going in my life, there would always be a little bit of sadness that lingered. I was feeling confident that I was going to really get better and more stable. It is just so hard sometimes to find the medicine that worked. It is like trial and error. One of the most popular bands in the world was the Beatles. They have inspired multiple people with their music and have had numerous hits including "Penny Lane", "Love Me Do" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". One particular song, "Hey Jude" was written and released in 1968; it promptly became a number one seller on the charts for 9 weeks ("The Sweet Meaning Behind The Beatles"). "Hey Jude" made people realize that can take any situation and turn it better just by being positive. The song not only has numerous interpretations, but it also has numerous hidden meaning people wouldn't notice unless they took the time ("The Sweet Meaning Behind the Beatles"). The main meaning behind "Hey Jude" has never been released, but everyone has their own ideas of why McCartney wrote it. One interpretation and the reasoning McCartney claims is that he wrote it for Lennon's son, Julian, about when Lennon left his son and wife for Yoko Ono. To many kids, this could be a traumatic experience; Julian was not an exception to this. Having a person's dad's best friend trying to comfort them and tell them that everything is fine makes any situation a little easier. I replied, walking over and giving him the package of cabbage seeds. He smiled at me, turning back around towards the dirt. After making a small hole in the ground, he dropped two seeds into the hole, compressing the earth around the seed to ensure that there was absolutely no air to prevent the seeds from rooting. My father was wearing his informal trousers, complete with work boots, a pair of ratty suspenders, and a plain white button– down underneath. Upon his head was a black wide–brimmed hat, simple but effective at blocking the sun from his eyes. As for myself, I was similar in the theme. Like many other fans, he realizes the game has changed and in his opinion, not for the better. Along with his narrative, Bowling uses contrast to support his opinion in such a way that balances the old traditions with the new nuances of the game. For example, Bowling draws on some parallels of one of the newest superstars in the league, Sidney Crosby, to unequivocally the greatest player of the game Wayne Gretzky: Sidney Crosby "is expected to challenge the scoring statistics of Gretzky one day" (239). Bowling continues to use contrast comparing the years it takes to master skating with the simple fundamentals of running, jumping, and catching (239); basic skills used in baseball, basketball and football. His view is that hockey players are the most skilled athletes in the world and other athletes pale in comparison. • 38. Cultural And Cultural Diversity In Hey Arnold As a kid, watching television was one of my favorite things to do. It seemed as if when the TV was on, the world stopped moving for an hour or two. There were many shows from my childhood that helped shape me into the person I am today, but the one that stood out amongst the rest was Hey Arnold. The hit 90's show Hey Arnold enculturated children through illustrating social acceptance, self–confidence, and displaying resilience through hardships. As a young child growing up in the late 90s/early 00s, Hey Arnold helped me become a more culturally and socially accepting individual through the consistent exposure of different ethnicities and family structures. For example, Arnold's grandparents housed two immigrants Mr. Hyunh from Vietnam and Oskar Kokoshka from Czechoslovakia. These two men from two entirely different cultural backgrounds were able to share a home, as well as guide Arnold through several issues he faced growing up. Arnold showed a full capacity of love and acceptance for these men's diverse race and backgrounds. Another example of the ethnic diversity in Hey Arnold is Arnold's friends. His best friend Gerald, a young sporty African American boy, Phoebe a young Japanese–American girl, and his Jewish friend Harold are prime examples of the cultural and racial diversity the show displayed. None of these characters were treated poorly or persecuted based on race or culture. In the episode "Harold's Bar Mitzvah", Harold is forced to abandon his friends' ... • 44. The Sense Of Belonging Through Human Interaction In one of the most well–known masterpieces by Pink Floyd, "Hey You", focused on one of the most important aspects of human life – the sense of belonging through human interaction. The lyric highlights Roger Waters' skill as a brilliant lyricist and composer, who reaches out to his audience with the haunting melody and emotionally–charged lyric. Waters has touched many lives with this piece by explicitly emphasizing on the pain of desolation and disassociation. He constructs his dialogue based on a life of his former bandmate Syd Barrett, whose life was severely affected by heavy drugs use, social desolation, and ultimately developed into mental illness. Waters introduces the audience to the song with the sound of an acoustic guitar in a low lying, gloomy, yet captivating tone – painting a picture of an eerie state of mind. He then grabs their attention by using a bold holler and plea, Waters writes: Hey you out there in the cold, Getting lonely getting old, Can you feel me?" The verse renders an image of isolation and desperation for human interaction and recognition. Relatedness is one of the most important parts of basic human psychological needs; along with competence and autonomy, they create a trifecta of conditions that must be met in order for human to growth and integrate. Failure to satisfy these conditions can have negative impact on human emotion and can ultimately demoralize and desolate us mentally (Deci, 2000). Waters then repeats the same question at the ... I would copy everything he did and take note of all the words and phrases he used so that I too could speak like he did. After starting school, I realized that I truly loved learning, especially scientific topics, and I was even more certain that I wanted to go into the medical field. However, Caroline would lose her fight with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on a peaceful, cool spring day when the two of us were still in junior high school, despite our circumstances being the same at the time of diagnosis. It has been many years since then but my desire to work in the medical field has remained the same as when I was just a four–year–old girl who simply ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Anyways as I was saying, my sister Kayla and I got out of bed and raced to the shower to see who would have to have to use cold water. I would have screamed at her but I was too busy wondering what that amazing smell was. Guessing that my grandma made pancakes before we go, which is radical. It was a big move, from a constant summer state to one with all seasons. There were different plants and animals and I intended to find them all. I lift up my skirt, making sure the hem doesn 't become dirty. Mother would be terribly angry if I came back dirty, considering my engagement party was in an hour. "One hour to explore like a silly child," my mother said harshly, "I 'll ring a bell, then you must return, and become a full women. It stares at me with its dark red eyes, like it was waiting. I hear a faint ticking noise in my ears from the silence. It was almost winter, so all the birds were gone. These intermediaries lease a Virtual Machine to a client. A solitary physical machine can provide the functions of numerous Virtual Machines. The current paper clarifies how the existence of various VMs on a solitary physical machine be defenseless against assaults by considering the systems the authors have utilized here as the Amazon EC2 for their contextual analysis. Making Amazon EC2 as a research aspect, they demonstrate that it is easy to recognize where a specific target VM is probably going to live (called as network probing) and then start new Virtual Machines until the new one is co–resident with considered target machine (called as co–resident technique). Also with this they investigated how the position of such VM can then lead to cross–talk assaults across various machines and loss of information transparency. The first approach is to find the DNS by resolving the query and finding the internal IP address associated and the name of the instance. By exploiting the use of a function called map in EC2, we become acquainted with the area of probable suffering VM and all the parameters in regards to the instantiation of instance. Just later to knowing the cartography of cloud, checking if any two instances are dwelling or using the same physical resource is confirmed. In this scenario, this is confirmed by going through the attributes Dom0 IP, Internal IP and round–trip times of the packets. It checks if the Dom0 IP of both instances is same, if there are short round–trip delays and nearer internal IP addresses. To initiate the instances on exact machine as that of our target machine, we instantiate numerous instances or VMs until it goes exactly to required machine using naïve brute–force approach or we may directly use location of new VM. The boat was rocking ferociously, and the sea sickness was building up in my stomach. The wind was roaring, and everyone was huddled together to keep warm. I could see a plastic bag floating in the water below. Suddenly, rain started pouring down and the droplets and hail thudded on the hard, wooden deck. The strong wind, rain and sea water leaves me cold and shaky. I clutch my jacket closer to me to keep dry and conserve my body heat. The wind seemed to be getting worse, and the waves were crashing on the side of the boat, bringing seawater onboard. The small plastic bag reminded me of how I felt, alone and discarded. My once clean and silken hair is now ragged, wet and dirty. "I just want to go home" I muttered to myself. Then I remember my mama's words "We will be together soon darling, and if we're not, I'll always be with you." I curl up into the fetal position and tears start streaming down my face. A truly selfish person would never consider the possibility that they are selfish. • 78. Toni Lumbada'sThe Lesson, By Toni Bambara In Toni Bambara's piece "The Lesson", we are given a sort of personal memoir of an experience she had with a childhood teacher in F.A.O Schwarz. Miss Moore, a college degree holding neighbor that educated children she lived near took a group of students to one of the biggest toy stores in New York. On the way to this toy store, Miss Moore was speaking a lot about money and what it truly is, how it adds up, etc. Upon entrance, Bambara writes about feeling unsettled about trying to go in the door. She writes further about her experiences and starts to sort of suggest her uneasiness and even anger about the cost of the toys she saw. She continues to list all of the different things that a $35 dancing clown could do for her family and starts to hint towards the idea of inequality between classes. Bambara mentions how Miss Moore talks about who you are is where you are and "waits for somebody to say that poor people have to wake up and demand their share of the pie" (78). Looking back now, Bambara probably sees exactly that Miss Moore was saying it isn't fair that people can spend all their money on flashy toys when people are struggling for food although at the time she admits they had no idea what she was talking about. At the end of their little tour of F.A.O Schwarz, Bambara's friend mentions how she didn't think the cost of a toy boy could be the equivalent of what their group ate in a year, and Miss Moore keeps pushing them to continue their thought process. Bambara quotes Miss Moore to say "'Imagine for minute what kind of society it is in which some people can spend on a toy what it would cost to feed a family of six or seven'" (79). As Sugar continues answering Miss Moore's question on how it isn't much of a democracy, Bambara grows increasingly upset at the willing participation of her friend. I believe this could suggest that given Miss Moore's education and possible difference between herself and the other children, Bambara and her friends resented the life Miss Moore seemed to have. The story may seem to some people to be a coming up story but it isn't that at all. Although at the end of the piece, Bambara writes "But ain't nobody gonna beat me at nuthin" (79) which can possibly allude the idea that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was first released in August 1968 under The Beatles label 'Apple Records'. Hey Jude runs for 7mins and 11secs and at the time of release was the longest single to top the British charts. The song is said to have evolved from "hey Jules", a song that had been written as a ballad to comfort Lennon's son Julian during his parents' divorce. McCartney said, "I started with the idea 'Hey Jules,' which was Julian, don't make it bad, take a sad song and make it better. Hey, try and deal with this terrible thing. Harmonically the start and the end of both bridges tonally are quite unstable. The bridge is an unusual 11 and a half measures long and sees the introduction of a walking Bass line and drums with emphasis on tapping cymbals. Melodically the main vocal tends to fall throughout the most part of the bridge, barely rising until the major melody swell that leads to the next verse. The stray vocal "so let it out and let it in" leads into the lyrical ideas found in the next bridge. The tambourine in this verse is more frequent and played now as semi–quavers. Bridge 2: Bridge 2 mirrors bridge 1 harmonically and musically with only slight variance in lyrics and slightly more ornate lead vocals with more passing notes but still sticking to the diatonic Fmajor the majority of the time..
