implemented a recommendations feature using certain rules that enabled the company’s online
customers to get access to a pre-defined skincare questionnaire developed by a highly qualified
group of aestheticians.
• Responses to these questions, when submitted by the customer, are sent to a backend
Java/Oracle Recommendation Engine that uses various complex bump rules and custom logic to
return relevant product recommendations to the customer.
• The products are neatly arranged in a regime format, which is bifurcated into Quick & Simple,
Targeted, and Full Regimens format. The feature enables customers to also see all the details as
per the options selected on the Magento site.
• Once the questionnaire is submitted, customers get a list of recommended products along with
reasons why the product has been displayed – based on their specific skin type and concerns.
Customers can buy the desired product on the Magento site and make payment through an easy
checkout process.
