Superpowers In Cassie Sullivan's The 5th Wave
Do you ever wish that you had superpowers? Or do you wish that there were alien creatures, about
to invade the Earth, and you would be the one to put a stop to that? Well, many of us had wished or
thought about things like these, knowing that they are completely unrealistic and that they wouldn't
happen. Although, things like these usually happen in books or in movies. Many people like to
watch movies that have superpowers in them, while others like to read them in books, using their
own imaginations to picture what is going on. Well, which one do you think is better? Watching a
movie to see the unrealistic things that we imagine? Or, reading it through a book, picturing
everything in your head? The 5th Wave is one of the many books that also have movie versions of
themselves. It's about a 16–year old girl named Cassie Sullivan. There are aliens called 'silencers'
and 'the others' that are trying to wipe out the human race by sending a number of waves. Cassie is
now living in the 5th Wave, where she is trying to find her little brother Sam Sullivan. Sam is in
Camp Haven, training for the 5th Wave, while Cassie is going on a big adventure, trying to find her
brother. Along the way, both Cassie and Sam get help from new friends, like Ben Parish, and Evan
Walker. They eventually find each other and work together to put an end to the 5th wave.

Who I Am A Man?
Not again! that's the only thought that filled my head. As I opened my eyes all I could see is a faint
ray of sun spying through the curtains providing just enough light for me make out my
surroundings. Depression, it sets in within 30 seconds of me realizing that yet again I've allowed
myself to drift into another night of unconscious decisions based on how my drinks had made me
feel. Pain, now arrives my all too familiar friend Mr. Hangover. It's not the drinking that's the
problem, I'm a 21–year–old kid in the Navy this is what we do. The Problem, is an un paralleled mix
of confidence and lack of self–respect, a free spirit and fight with my faith, a distinct loneliness
while consistently being surrounded by people who I consider friends. Everybody matures at their
own rate and in many different ways. I believed in who I was, I considered myself to be a man
amongst boys! But I would soon find out that I was far from the man I wanted to be. I wish I could
tell you that as I sit here in another random house in Chula Vista, Ca that the reason I'm so
outlandish is that I'm away from what I love the most, but that would be an easy out from the
choices that I've made. As I gathered my things and made my way to the front door navigating my
way through a field of passed out sailors, beer bottles and random women, I feel a soft hand grab
my arm. I turn around to see a beautiful young lady with strawberry blonde hair perched up in a bun
high on top her head, wearing what looks to

The Big Snit Film Analysis
Life just like the electrocardiography, when there is no rise and fall, it means death. There is an
interesting short animated film about life named "The Big Snit" which was presented by the NFB in
2013. The film delivers the message that life is not perfect. The author delivers this message very
clearly throughout the conversations of the main characters and also the dramatic ending. The film
talked about the conflicts of the couple's life. First of all, there are many insignificant arguments in
their daily life. At the same time, there was a global nuclear war that was happening and caused
chaos outside of couple's home. In the end of the film, the nuclear bomb destroyed the city and the
couple died. Finally, they do not have any arguments after they went to the heaven. On one hand,
the author delivered the message very effectively through the following ways. First, the author
delivers the message through the dialogue. Firstly, the film shows the daily life of the couple and
there are full of conversations. However, the conversations are all about the arguments between
them. For example, the man cannot endure the woman who always shakes her glasses; the woman
cannot endure the man who always try to saw something in order to satisfy his fantasies from the
TV shows. More importantly, the conflicts are insignificant, which means that it is totally not
necessary to occur in the film. But why does the author added these insignificant conversations in
the film and the

Cassie Cowan's 'Cow'
INTRODUCTION "COW" is a story about a lively adolescent, Cassie Cowan. The focus of this
narrative advertisement is to appeal specifically to adolescents. This is because adolescents are new
on the roads and consumed by the distraction of technical devices. This advertisement was created
by PSA texting and driving, UK. It is a promotional video to convey the message that when driving,
do not interact with your mobile phone. Like many young people, Cassie has a fast paced life in
which she spends much of her time with friend and driving around. The video demonstrations
Cassie and her friends' lives on a daily basis. It begins with her waking up in a panic, as she is late
for work. Her friend is texting her to "hurry up ur late!!!" Cassie is traveling to work and responds
with "On my way xx". This introduces the theme of texting whilst driving. LANGUAGE ... Show

The summary read "Cassie Cowan was sentenced to 7 years jail for death by dangerous driving" it
then followed on to say that the parents of the killed adolescents tried to sue for unlawful killing,
however their attempts were unsuccessful. This quick summary through facts is short yet powerful
as it creates a sense of realism. The presentation of the facts about the accident allows the viewers to
acknowledge the detrimental and true effects of a mindless act such as texting and driving. "Road
accidents are the biggest cause for death for 17–30 year olds in the UK" although it is stated that the
facts are based on UK statistics, this film still relates to other countries such as Australia. Most
viewers watch this advertisement and compare the fatal act of the adolescents in the film, and
compare them to a loved one. Facts are displayed to appeal to a larger audience, as majority of
people are controlled by their emotional side this is appealed to with the film, however some people
are controlled by their rational side of the

Cassie Logan Research Paper
Cassie Logan is a black, nine year old girl living in rural Mississippi. Throughout her life Cassie
displays many different qualities, she can be feisty, sassy, and clever, but most of all she is
courageous. This does not just mean she is plucky or tenacious, it means she is "brave and/or
fearless" (Merriam Webster Dictionary). Whenever she shows this quality, she stands up for herself,
as well as others. Being courageous is so important simply because she is a black girl living in 1933.
Racism was very common at that time, and standing up for yourself was the only way you would
get respect. However, in some incidents described in the book, Cassie changed her life for the better
and took one step closer towards a fairer world. There are three ... Show more content on

She was upset about what had happened there and was angry that she was treated so unfairly. At the
moment, she was kicking at the sidewalk with her head bowed. It was then when she bumped into
Lillian Jean Simms. "'Well apologize', she ordered. '... 'Okay' I said starting past, 'I'm sorry.', 'That
ain't enough, get down on the road. ... You can't watch where you're going , get in the road. Maybe
that way you won't be bumping into decent white folks with your nasty little self' " (Taylor 113–114)
. Cassie was hot, and her stubbornness and pride did not help. Mr Simms told her that if his gal,
Lillian Jean asks for Cassie to get down on the sidewalk, she had to. Out of anger and hate, Mr.
Simms, like Lillian Jean, ordered Cassie to apologize immediately. Cassie refused and argued that
she had already apologized. She did not want to get down on the road for a crime as small as
bumping into a white person. Then, in the heat of the argument, as if on cue, Big Ma came. Cassie
was relieved. She expected Big Ma to stand up for her and for them to have eachother's backs in the
fight. However, Big Ma did the opposite, she did the unthinkable. She made her apologize. "' Big
Ma!' I balked. 'Say it child.' ... A painful tear slid down my cheek and my lips trembled, ' I'm sorry
M–Miz Lillian Jean' ''( Taylor 115). Even if Cassie lost this battle, she still stood up for herself, and
as fearless and brave. It is impossible to

Cassie St. Clair: A Short Story
The strangest things happened to Cassie St. Clair. Wherever she went, things weren't quite normal.
When she was four years old, the building where she attended day care vanished in the middle of
the night. The day it disappeared was the same day that the other children made fun of her for
believing that cats could talk. They made fun of her so much that it made her cry, and wish she
would never have to go back to that awful place. As if by a stroke of luck, she never had to return.
The disappearance of the day care center was the first strange incident to happen around her, and if
it had been the last then she might not seem so strange. But the strange events followed her and her
mother when they moved to Los Angeles a few months later. ... Show more content on

boy's parents didn't punish their son, saying that there was no harm done. Cassie's mother was so

her more strange, was that any time she fell from a height of more than three feet, sometimes on

Cassie Sugar: A Short Story
I was just a girl and she was just a horse, but together we were one and that's where our story began.
It was in the summer ( June) of 2015 and little did I know my life would change forever. My name
is Cassie Sugar. I have to say I was a country girl at heart. My family and I owned a horse ranch
with over 40 horses, but I had a favorite, her name was Willow. Every morning and night I would
visit her and read a book to her and give her peppermints ( her favorite ). I was about 16 and she
was 9. I loved her so much and she loved me. She was white with a mane that looked like it had just
touched the sun. She was my angel. One day, a terrible storm hit. We had to get all 40 horses in the
huge barn. Everything was going ok when it started ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

"goodbye" to every horse that we had put in there so that they could escape. I called for my parents
several times even though I knew that they were gone. I grabbed some hay, grain, and apples and
threw them to safety so that Willow could eat and that was when I realized the little brown foal

Cassie Morrison Quotes
Stacey carrying TJ home when he was hurt, lethargic and grasping on to life, the very gruff and
hardened Mr.Morrison confessing his interminable love for the the Logan kids, these are examples
of how the main theme of the novel "Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry" is family always looks out for
one another no matter what. In the heartwarming book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry I believe the
theme of it is family Always sticks together no matter what because of the New examples that I
listed above the people in Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry have to stick together as a strong
Community to keep each other safe and well protected.
Stacey and Cassie dropped everything for TJ's sake in the middle of the night even though TJ was
not that loyal to Stacey and Papa burned the land so everyone would be distracted and TJ would not
get killed for example this quote shows what the land looked like after Papa burned it ¨Near the
slope where once cotton stalks had stood, their brown balls popping with tiny puffs of cotton, the
land was charred, desolate, black, still steaming from the night. (12.85)¨ . Also in this Quote cassie

Hear My Cry Cassie Logan Quotes
Cassie Logan is a black, nine–year–old girl in the fourth grade. Cassie Logan demonstrates her
courage all throughout the book Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. Courage is the quality of mind or
spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, and/or pain, without fear. The first event in
which Cassie displays her courage is on Little Man's' first day of school. It takes place in Miss
Crocker's class after Little Man gets mad about his textbook. The second event where Cassie
displays courage takes place at the Barnett Mercantile store. Cassie takes a risk with Mr.Barnett.
The third, and final event where Cassie demonstrates courage has to do with Miz Lillian Jean in the
forest. Cassie Logan is a strong, courageous character in this book. ... Show more content on

In this event, Cassie wants to get revenge on Lillian Jean for making her apologize to her in
Strawberry. Cassie has been waiting for Lillian Jean on the way to and back from school recently.
She would wait for Lillian Jean and then carry her books for her. She gained her trust, and Lillian
Jean told her secrets that no one else knew. On another casual day, Cassie took Lillian Jean's' books,
but this time it was different. Cassie told Lillian Jean that she had a surprise for her. Cassie then
took Lillian Jean to the forest and smashed Lillian's books on the ground. Cassie says, "I got tired of
carrying 'em," (Taylor 179). Lillian Jean became all mad and struck Cassie across her face. Cassie
tackled her and pulled her hair. Cassie then made Lillian Jean not tell her dad about this by
threatening her. Cassie said that if anyone else finds out about this that Lillian's whole school would
know her secrets. The fight ended, and Cassie left to go home. This displays Cassie's courage
because interrogating a white girl, and betraying her, is a danger during this time. White people had
rule over black people during the Great Depression. Again, Cassie went into danger without fear.

The Perspective of Cyber Bullying Vicitms Exposed in...
"I would rather be a little nobody, then an evil somebody," (Abraham Lincoln). Cyber bullying is a
national epidemic. It makes victims feel confused or unwanted. Many teenagers and even adults do
not always think about what one comment on the internet can do. The author, Elissa Janine Hoole,
shows how victims feel in exceptional detail. Sometimes Never, Sometimes Always has countless
strengths, but also has it's weakness'. This book is a something that every teenager should read. It
covers almost everything someone this age would face; bullying, social media, religion, change. The
characters can relate to anyone in middle school, and the reader can feel more connected to the
story. In Sometimes Never, Sometimes Always, by Elissa Janine Hoole, a teenage girl, named
Cassandra Randall, has the idea to make an advice blog. Using tarot cards and posing as Divinia
Starr, Cassandra is rebelling against her family's overbearing religion. However, she would have
never predicted the consequences for her actions.Since Cassandra uses tarot cards to answers
people's questions, her church calls the blog "sorcery." When a girl named Drew Godfrey asks for
advice, the unexpected happens and the school says that the blog is "a cyber bully crisis." Cass is
then forced to watch her world fall apart in front of her own eyes, and she must learn to know right
and wrong. When her English teacher assigns her to write a poem that describes herself, she

"And The forecast today will be bright and sunny!" My mother turned off the television and told be

sixth grade. I was new to the district last year, so I have only made a handful of friends . My mom

some help. She more than willingly handed me her locker combination, and I open her locker for

head. My eyes dart to the door just in time to see the girl I helped earlier walk into the room. I smile
and she smiles back, then proceeds to go sit by her small group of friends. Over the next couple of
days, we talk and get to know each other. Later I find out her name is Lillian. I let her copy my
work, she introduces me to her friends, then they also copy my work. I began to make a lot of new
friends, and that made me love school even more. It went smoothly until I started to get pulled out

Cassie Logan In Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry
Nothing is possible if you don't have the courage to do it.Cassie Logan, in the book Roll of Thunder
Hear My Cry, has to face many challenges for her and her family. She has to stand up for her union
and stand strong. In the book cassie is challenged many times with segregation and being treated
rudely including name calling. She stated that since she was first in line, she should go first. But Mr.

believe that she is being courageous because she wants to get rid of segregation. She stated in the
book that it was one thing she didn't like, nor understand. Many things can become a battle. But a

Cassie Logan Letter
This letter's sole purpose is to teach a necessary lesson for all people. Many people call me Little
Girl, but I prefer my real name, Cassie Logan. My family and I reside in the deep south of the
United States on a four–hundred–acre farm where we acquire most of our wealth. However, Papa,
my father, was obligated to find work at another place after the price of cotton dropped. Because
Papa left temporarily, my family does not have a man in the house present in times of need.
Consequently, in every waking hour my family is up, fear fills our thoughts with the uprising of
burnings on dark–skinned families around us committed by the nightmen. Around the farm, lies a
barrier of trees that separates our family with the rest of the world. Likewise, ... Show more content

Because I remain alienated from the rest of the other students who walk, I became a target of the
daunting school bus. Even though the pupils on the bus and I settle in the same town, people of
white–skin receive a bus while others take a dreadful course to school. In addition to the social
unjust blacks endure, the school bus harasses people of my skin color. On multiple occasions, racial
slurs and derogatory messages would be directed at me as the bus passes. The desire to take revenge
on the bus grew every day as the harassment continued, but the punishment that would follow the
actions taken upon the bus would be severe. However, after a plethora of malicious events have
been purposely done to African Americans such as myself, a plea of action was necessary. At the
onset of the following morning, the children of my family and I decided to put an end to the
intimidation the bus put on us. Although our mother would look down upon this action, we decided
to dig a trench to put the bus in its place: the dirt. After we took revenge on the bus, persecution
toward race halted. Since my entire family unified under one cause, we were able to overcome this
problem despite the community's prejudice against people of black

we going to give her back?" This was the day my mother broke the news that my sister Sarah was
coming home with us forever–my world was changed. For months I had known that my mom was
pregnant, and I was excited. I told my kindergarten teacher, principal, and guidance counselor that I
would be delighted to have "one–thousand sisters!" However, for a year after my sister's birth, I
continued to ask when we would be returning Sarah to the hospital. On Saturdays my mom would
take Sarah and me with her to do her errands–returns at Target and Belk, dry–cleaning pick up, and
then lunch somewhere downtown. With all the receipts my mom collected, I wondered which one
was magic enough to let us return my sister. It is not that I do not love my sister, but we are as
different as mud and honey. I often wonder how my sister and I came from the same two parents.
Yet, opposites can work. I am a methodical, planned out person. I am not spontaneous and rarely
take unnecessary risks. I calculate everything. On the contrary, my sister does things when she
wants, with little regard for others. But, I have learned a lot from living with Sarah. For example: it
is ok to take a potty break in the middle of something important. When I was twelve, I packed my
own suitcase a week in advance of a trip (something

Cassie Martin Book Report
Cassie Martin is the daughter of a famous star comedienne Abby Grant. Cassie doesn't really seem
impressed by her moms fame or Hollywood at all. She then meets a film student named Marc
Jenkins. She finds him very appealing and wants to help finance his film. Although when she ask to
get money from her mom she refuses and becomes angry. She still wants to help Marc and thinks
she is old enough to help him, but she doesn't want to betray her mother. I give this book 3.5 stars
out of 4.
My favorite character is Cassie, she is outgoing, kind, and really smart. She is outgoing towards her
new friends including Marc Jenkins. She is very kind for helping him finance for his movie. She is
also smart because she finds different ways to help Marc as much as she could without having to ask
her mom for money. Even when her mom gets her upset, she gets angry but finds a way to change
the situation.I also think that she is nice to her mom but her mom isn't nice to her back when she ask
for money. This is why Cassie is my favorite character, but also Marc too. ... Show more content on

History of Cassie Cassie Wells was born on December first of 1998. She was eight pounds, four

Cassie had never been to the beach before and only had seen it in the movies and her stories from
her family. She remembers this trip in such detail because it was the most fun she had ever had. Her
and her family stayed for two weeks during the fourth of July and Cassie saw the best fireworks she
had ever seen in her life. She also had the time of her life banana boating, visiting aquariums,
visiting museums, swiming, fishing on the pier, and even petting real live sea animals. When she
was seven, she was in her first car wreck. She had never been more frightened in her life. This
wreck was caused by her mother falling asleep at the wheel and rear ending another car in front of
her. It wasn't a horrible wreck, but Cassie wasn't sure what had happened. She remembers this so
significantly because it was a scary event and she remembers talking to and meeting a police officer
for the first time. When Cassie was ten she started playing sports for the first time in her life. During
this sports period she recieved her first sprained ankle. She started off with soccer, then switched to

How Is Cassie Courageous
If you have courage then you can do anything, and nothing will get in your way. Throughout the
book Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry the Author Mildred D. Taylor uses Cassie as a young person to
stand up for her decisions, even though there is a lot of conflict and tension against her family.
Cassie proves that she is courageous by standing up for her siblings, facing her rival Lillian Jean,
and stand up for her papa when she heard out who shot him. All of these actions prove that Cassie is
courageous because Cassie stands up for her convictions, even though there is a lot of conflict and
tension against her family. Are you willing to stand up for your siblings even though you may get in
trouble or worse? Cassie Logan was not afraid to stand up for her siblings even though she would
probably get whipped or worse. Cassie Logan stood up for little man when he got in trouble for
saying that book was dirty. She ended up getting whipped to because she stood up for little man, and
put her book on Mrs Crockers desk. n page 26 and 27 said "Miz Crocker please don't! I cried I know
why he done it." "Miz Crocker I said, I don't want my book neither." Now you know how Cassie

Tangerine Paul Fisher Character Analysis
Secrets in Tangerine The definition of secret is "something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown
or unseen by others" (Unknown). Secrets are a crucial part of the dramatic, young adult–fiction
novel, Tangerine written by Edward Bloor. Tangerine is placed in Tangerine County Florida. Paul
Fisher is the main character and Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, his brother Erik and his friend Arthur are
valuable to the story as well. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher have kept the secret of Paul's eyesight hidden for

How are the young David and Cassie presented as victims in the novels
'David Copperfield' and 'Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry'
'Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry' is a story about an African American girl growing up in a racist
community in Mississippi during the
1930's. It shows her family as they struggle to survive in the racist community, try to keep their land
and survive on the little money they get because of the fall in cotton prices due to the economic
depression. David Copperfield on the other hand is about a boy growing up in a mid–Victorian
world. With his family dieing around him, nowhere to live and people constantly taking advantage

Although Cassie wasn't victimised within the family, the family on a whole were victimised but they

David, Cassie received a lot of love and support from her family.
Family and land were very important to them. When Harland Granger attempted to take their land

Cassie received masses of love and support from them which helped her while growing up.

Mr Murdstone's request– making him wear a placard saying 'take care of him, he bites' ' My

The Strengths Of Weaknesses
We are all full of weakness and errors; let us mutually pardon each other our follies – it is the first
law of nature. –Voltaire
We have been in so many situations, either you are a young or old man or woman, but it is always
different. In this situation, we saw how we handle our lives. And when we handle those we always
analyze it first and how our ability to solve the situation. Once we solved it we saw what our
capabilities are; our strength that we admire and the weakness we snub because it's just one of our
flaw but is it?
I have many weaknesses and if I evaluate myself, I would think that I have more weakness than
strength. But I think for me my biggest weakness is how I am very in control of my life that how
once I thought this was a good trait came out to be the one that can break me. Very control in the
sense that I do everything that people think is what I was born for to be a perfect little girl. Very
control on what I am doing, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Cassie Logan did. She helped a boy named T.J. Avery, a boy who was a trouble maker. She hates
T.J. In chapter five Cassie, her older brother Stacey, and T.J. went to the Barnett mercantile and and
T.J. falls in love with a pistol and says one day that gun will be his. "'That pearl–handled one.
Stacey, man, you ever seen a gun like that before in you whole life? I'd sell my life for that gun. And
one of these days i'm gonna have it too.'" (Taylor, 108)This evidence shows that T.J. wants the gun. I
also think this is foreshadowing what happens in chapter 11 and 12. In chapter 11 R.W. and Melvin
Simms convince T.J. that they should go to the mercantile and steal the gun. T.J. agrees and hey go.
The simmses killed Mr. Barnett and knocked out Mrs. Barnett. In chapter 11 T.J. also came to the
Logan house hold in the middle of the night to talk to Stacey about what happened to him and to
take him home."'Hey, Cassie, wouldja keep it down whispered T.J., invisible in the darkness. Then

Character 1 Inference: Cassie
Character 1 Inference: Cassie I think Cassie is the kind of person who is not afraid to speak her
mind or afraid of the consequences. One way of how she showed this was when she bumped into

this in the same chapter is inside Mr. Barnett's store. Where she went up to him and confronted him
of what was wrong with the service he was giving and about how it wasn't fair to her. Next an
example, from chapter 4 was when Stacey went to go fight T.J. Cassie refused to let her brother go

from a great teacher. So who's to decide what those specific traits are? Every student is different
when it comes to learning. One may love a certain teacher, and another may not. All teachers have
different teaching styles. Looking back at my favorite teachers from high school, I noticed that they
all had similar characteristics that made them my favorites. However, they also had their own
unique qualities that made them stand out as well. These teachers have not only taught me the

teach from the moment class started until the bell rang. He would always say, "You're in high
school. I should not have to hold your hand. I can't make you learn, so if you don't want to pay
attention or take notes, then that will be your own problem." I agreed a hundred percent with every
word. However, he was also the farthest thing from mean. Everyone loved him, especially because
he was one of the football coaches. Which, by the way, did make him a very loud guy. You never
had trouble understanding or communicating with him. Coming from a small school, I only had an
average of 10–15 students in all of my classes. Therefore, most teachers could build a relationship
with their students, which is exactly why out of all the teachers, Eric Padget was by far my favorite

She wondered, as she heard her foot falls and as the large doors to the parking structure "whooshed"

As a hopeful student of hers I always asked Mrs. C for help with my music. Of course, she always
helped me, but she never gave the answer to my question. It was a frustrating thing to me for a long
time, but in the end I came to the conclusion that I needed to figure things out on my own. Mrs.
Chappell was always one to help me see the things I was doing well, always. She never once missed
a beat when I accomplished something for the first time in her class. Even when I messed up she
was to come sprinting across the band hall with joy in every stride telling me awesome that was,
when actually I didn't even know she was listening. She gave me confidence in my strengths, and
always followed her compliments up with the things I need to fix next go around. Although she may
not have known it, every word spoken with her gentle, careful tone was taken straight to heart.
Seeing her big smile fill her high cheekbones when she giggled at our well known success was more
of a treat to me than any reward or chair placement I ever received. Her joyous laughter was high
pitched, genuine, and contagious. A laugh could pass through the entire band from just one, small
giggle with a snort she tried so hard to hide.

Suspense And Wonders In The Fifth Wave By Cassie Sullivan
The Fifth Wave was an amazing book that included a lot of suspense and wonder. There are 5 Waves
in the book. The 1st Wave is everything that is in the air, all electricity, is gone. The 2nd Wave is
flooding. All coastal areas gone. The 3rd wave took longer to come, a deadly virus. Which took out
billions. Trust no one is the first rule to the 4th Wave. It doesn't matter what they look like, because
they, the "Others" look and act the same as you. They also know how you think. The 5th wave, well
that's what the book is about. This book follows Cassie Sullivan's wild adventure to rescue her
brother, and to stay alone or die. Until she meets someone named Evan Walker who could help her

This book follows Cassie most of the time. Her full name is Cassiopeia, a constellation. She is 16,

muscular. They both always know what each other are thinking and know the right thing to do. You

Cassie Robinson
Feminist film theorist Laura Mulvey (1975) states that "in their traditional exhibitionist role, women
are simultaneously looked at and displayed, with their appearance coded for strong visual and erotic
impact so that they can be said to connote to–be–looked–at–ness." While women have evolved in
the horror genre from being helpless to becoming successful, the victimization of women still exists,
and with this role comes sexualization. 'Supernatural' is known for its many female characters that
are stereotyped as the damsels in distress who crave sexual attention. Cassie Robinson, a woman of
colour from Dean Winchester's past who calls for his help after the murder of her father in "Route
666" (season 1 episode 13), is probably the most stereotypical example of this. Dean came to help
Cassie and found that people of colour were being killed by the vengeful spirit of racist white man
Cyrus Dorian. The only times we see Cassie are when she is in scenes with Dean; she is reduced to a

Clover developed the "final girl" theory, which refers to the last woman alive to confront the killer
or to tell the story. Clover states that the killer's victims are 'always young and beautiful ones' and
"she is intelligent, watchful, level–headed". She also suggested that the audience shares the
perception of the killer throughout the story, yet slowly develops identification with the final girl. Jo
Harvelle is an example of a countertypical approach to the female victim in 'Supernatural' and she is
indeed our final girl. Although Sam and Dean are our protagonists, it could be argued that Jo
Harvelle is our female protagonist in "No Exit" (season 2 episode 6). Jo is the one to put together a
case on the murders of six young blonde women in an apartment building in Philadelphia, which

  • 2. Superpowers In Cassie Sullivan's The 5th Wave Do you ever wish that you had superpowers? Or do you wish that there were alien creatures, about to invade the Earth, and you would be the one to put a stop to that? Well, many of us had wished or thought about things like these, knowing that they are completely unrealistic and that they wouldn't happen. Although, things like these usually happen in books or in movies. Many people like to watch movies that have superpowers in them, while others like to read them in books, using their own imaginations to picture what is going on. Well, which one do you think is better? Watching a movie to see the unrealistic things that we imagine? Or, reading it through a book, picturing everything in your head? The 5th Wave is one of the many books that also have movie versions of themselves. It's about a 16–year old girl named Cassie Sullivan. There are aliens called 'silencers' and 'the others' that are trying to wipe out the human race by sending a number of waves. Cassie is now living in the 5th Wave, where she is trying to find her little brother Sam Sullivan. Sam is in Camp Haven, training for the 5th Wave, while Cassie is going on a big adventure, trying to find her brother. Along the way, both Cassie and Sam get help from new friends, like Ben Parish, and Evan Walker. They eventually find each other and work together to put an end to the 5th wave. ... • 3. Who I Am A Man? Not again! that's the only thought that filled my head. As I opened my eyes all I could see is a faint ray of sun spying through the curtains providing just enough light for me make out my surroundings. Depression, it sets in within 30 seconds of me realizing that yet again I've allowed myself to drift into another night of unconscious decisions based on how my drinks had made me feel. Pain, now arrives my all too familiar friend Mr. Hangover. It's not the drinking that's the problem, I'm a 21–year–old kid in the Navy this is what we do. The Problem, is an un paralleled mix of confidence and lack of self–respect, a free spirit and fight with my faith, a distinct loneliness while consistently being surrounded by people who I consider friends. Everybody matures at their own rate and in many different ways. I believed in who I was, I considered myself to be a man amongst boys! But I would soon find out that I was far from the man I wanted to be. I wish I could tell you that as I sit here in another random house in Chula Vista, Ca that the reason I'm so outlandish is that I'm away from what I love the most, but that would be an easy out from the choices that I've made. As I gathered my things and made my way to the front door navigating my way through a field of passed out sailors, beer bottles and random women, I feel a soft hand grab my arm. I turn around to see a beautiful young lady with strawberry blonde hair perched up in a bun high on top her head, wearing what looks to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Big Snit Film Analysis Life just like the electrocardiography, when there is no rise and fall, it means death. There is an interesting short animated film about life named "The Big Snit" which was presented by the NFB in 2013. The film delivers the message that life is not perfect. The author delivers this message very clearly throughout the conversations of the main characters and also the dramatic ending. The film talked about the conflicts of the couple's life. First of all, there are many insignificant arguments in their daily life. At the same time, there was a global nuclear war that was happening and caused chaos outside of couple's home. In the end of the film, the nuclear bomb destroyed the city and the couple died. Finally, they do not have any arguments after they went to the heaven. On one hand, the author delivered the message very effectively through the following ways. First, the author delivers the message through the dialogue. Firstly, the film shows the daily life of the couple and there are full of conversations. However, the conversations are all about the arguments between them. For example, the man cannot endure the woman who always shakes her glasses; the woman cannot endure the man who always try to saw something in order to satisfy his fantasies from the TV shows. More importantly, the conflicts are insignificant, which means that it is totally not necessary to occur in the film. But why does the author added these insignificant conversations in the film and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Cassie Logan Research Paper Cassie Logan is a black, nine year old girl living in rural Mississippi. Throughout her life Cassie displays many different qualities, she can be feisty, sassy, and clever, but most of all she is courageous. This does not just mean she is plucky or tenacious, it means she is "brave and/or fearless" (Merriam Webster Dictionary). Whenever she shows this quality, she stands up for herself, as well as others. Being courageous is so important simply because she is a black girl living in 1933. You can't watch where you're going , get in the road. Maybe that way you won't be bumping into decent white folks with your nasty little self' " (Taylor 113–114) . Cassie was hot, and her stubbornness and pride did not help. Mr Simms told her that if his gal, Lillian Jean asks for Cassie to get down on the sidewalk, she had to. Out of anger and hate, Mr. Simms, like Lillian Jean, ordered Cassie to apologize immediately. Cassie refused and argued that she had already apologized. She did not want to get down on the road for a crime as small as bumping into a white person. Then, in the heat of the argument, as if on cue, Big Ma came. Cassie was relieved. She expected Big Ma to stand up for her and for them to have eachother's backs in the fight. However, Big Ma did the opposite, she did the unthinkable. She made her apologize. "' Big Ma!' I balked. • 8. Cassie St. Clair: A Short Story The strangest things happened to Cassie St. Clair. Wherever she went, things weren't quite normal. When she was four years old, the building where she attended day care vanished in the middle of the night. The day it disappeared was the same day that the other children made fun of her for believing that cats could talk. They made fun of her so much that it made her cry, and wish she would never have to go back to that awful place. As if by a stroke of luck, she never had to return. Cassie's mother was so upset, they decided to leave the party. It was lucky they did, because though there hadn't been a cloud in the sky when they left, by the time they got home a freak thunderstorm had started. It was in the summer ( June) of 2015 and little did I know my life would change forever. My name is Cassie Sugar. I have to say I was a country girl at heart. My family and I owned a horse ranch with over 40 horses, but I had a favorite, her name was Willow. Every morning and night I would visit her and read a book to her and give her peppermints ( her favorite ). I was about 16 and she was 9. I loved her so much and she loved me. I went in the burning building and freed and said "goodbye" to every horse that we had put in there so that they could escape. I called for my parents several times even though I knew that they were gone. I grabbed some hay, grain, and apples and threw them to safety so that Willow could eat and that was when I realized the little brown foal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cassie Morrison Quotes Stacey carrying TJ home when he was hurt, lethargic and grasping on to life, the very gruff and hardened Mr.Morrison confessing his interminable love for the the Logan kids, these are examples of how the main theme of the novel "Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry" is family always looks out for one another no matter what. In the heartwarming book Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry I believe the theme of it is family Always sticks together no matter what because of the New examples that I listed above the people in Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry have to stick together as a strong Community to keep each other safe and well protected. Stacey and Cassie dropped everything for TJ's sake in the middle of the night even though TJ was not that loyal to Stacey and Papa burned the land so everyone would be distracted and TJ would not get killed for example this quote shows what the land looked like after Papa burned it ¨Near the slope where once cotton stalks had stood, their brown balls popping with tiny puffs of cotton, the land was charred, desolate, black, still steaming from the night. Cassie told Lillian Jean that she had a surprise for her. Cassie then took Lillian Jean to the forest and smashed Lillian's books on the ground. Cassie says, "I got tired of carrying 'em," (Taylor 179). Lillian Jean became all mad and struck Cassie across her face. Cassie tackled her and pulled her hair. It was a new school year, and just starting the sixth grade. I was new to the district last year, so I have only made a handful of friends . My mom sends me off to the bus, and I look up at the sky. My eyes dart to the door just in time to see the girl I helped earlier walk into the room. I smile and she smiles back, then proceeds to go sit by her small group of friends. Over the next couple of days, we talk and get to know each other. Later I find out her name is Lillian. I let her copy my work, she introduces me to her friends, then they also copy my work. However, Papa, my father, was obligated to find work at another place after the price of cotton dropped. Because Papa left temporarily, my family does not have a man in the house present in times of need. However, after a plethora of malicious events have been purposely done to African Americans such as myself, a plea of action was necessary. Chuckling to herself she said, "fuck you". She considered moving her crimson Cobalt SS closer to the doors now that the lot was emptying of the visitor and patient cars that had parked all day. She looked at the display on her phone, Dylan should be getting moved back to his hospital room from recovery, it was seven fifteen and the sun should be sliding to sunset, she ... Cassie walked back through the halls passed closed doors with blackened frosted windows on their sides. She made it back to the lobby, and hesitated before deciding to have another cigarette in the parking garage. She crossed that cavernous lobby, whose ceiling rose three stories to the ceiling. It occurred to her that it was a "waste of space" that wasn't that impressive. She wondered, as she heard her foot falls and as the large doors to the parking structure "whooshed" open, how good the acoustics were in the vacant lobby. Cassie pulled her now empty pack of Marlboros from her pocket, balled the pack up and tossed it in the nearby trash barrel. "Fuck", she thought, "now I have to get another pack from my car". "Ma'am" A voice boomed above her, she startled and looked up at the public address speaker. "What?" She said, remembering the "push the button" order before. She turned around and saw the call box next to the doors that she had just walked through. "Yeah?" She asked after depressing the talk ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Creative Writing: Mrs. Cassie Chappell Expository Essay Mrs. Cassie Chappell was the very first person that ever inspired me enough to chase my dreams. As a young teen with a rough home life, things always seemed to bring me down. Mrs. C realized my struggle and told me to come to her with anything I ever needed. Her teachings made me see my strong points and assisted me in working on my weak ones . She encouraged me daily to fight for what I wanted in life, and to improve on the weakness I had. As history repeated itself I fell time and time again into a lack of self confidence when I would fail at a task. High fives were her go to gift when she knew I need a confidence boost. Whether it was a simple hug to tell me it was going to be alright, a much needed critique, or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When my ride home finally showed up I got up, and she told me that if I ever needed to talk she would be there with an open door and open arms. Her mind was always open too, she seemed to know everything about me after that talk, even my weaknesses. As a hopeful student of hers I always asked Mrs. C for help with my music. Of course, she always helped me, but she never gave the answer to my question. It was a frustrating thing to me for a long time, but in the end I came to the conclusion that I needed to figure things out on my own. Mrs. Chappell was always one to help me see the things I was doing well, always. She never once missed a beat when I accomplished something for the first time in her class. Even when I messed up she was to come sprinting across the band hall with joy in every stride telling me awesome that was, when actually I didn't even know she was listening. She gave me confidence in my strengths, and always followed her compliments up with the things I need to fix next go around. Although she may not have known it, every word spoken with her gentle, careful tone was taken straight to heart. Seeing her big smile fill her high cheekbones when she giggled at our well known success was more of a treat to me than any reward or chair placement I ever received. Her joyous laughter was high pitched, genuine, and contagious. A laugh could pass through the entire band from just one, small giggle with a snort she tried so hard to hide. Hiding her ... • 38. Cassie Robinson Feminist film theorist Laura Mulvey (1975) states that "in their traditional exhibitionist role, women are simultaneously looked at and displayed, with their appearance coded for strong visual and erotic impact so that they can be said to connote to–be–looked–at–ness." While women have evolved in the horror genre from being helpless to becoming successful, the victimization of women still exists, and with this role comes sexualization. 'Supernatural' is known for its many female characters that are stereotyped as the damsels in distress who crave sexual attention. Cassie Robinson, a woman of colour from Dean Winchester's past who calls for his help after the murder of her father in "Route 666" (season 1 episode 13), is probably the most stereotypical example of this. Dean came to help Cassie and found that people of colour were being killed by the vengeful spirit of racist white man Cyrus Dorian. The only times we see Cassie are when she is in scenes with Dean; she is reduced to a romantic and sexual relationship with the male ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Clover developed the "final girl" theory, which refers to the last woman alive to confront the killer or to tell the story. Clover states that the killer's victims are 'always young and beautiful ones' and "she is intelligent, watchful, level–headed". She also suggested that the audience shares the perception of the killer throughout the story, yet slowly develops identification with the final girl. Jo Harvelle is an example of a countertypical approach to the female victim in 'Supernatural' and she is indeed our final girl. Although Sam and Dean are our protagonists, it could be argued that Jo Harvelle is our female protagonist in "No Exit" (season 2 episode 6). Jo is the one to put together a case on the murders of six young blonde women in an apartment building in Philadelphia, which comes as a surprise to Sam and Dean. She is also young, blonde and beautiful herself, immediately showing the characteristics of a final girl in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
