developing skills to answer questions

be located in any single phrase or

strategies in different reading

3. 13. Evaluation
The final grade students received for the course will be based on
their performance in the following assessment tasks which will be weighted
as followed:
13.1 Assessment of academic knowledge (50%)
• Mid-term examination 25%
• Final examination 25%
13.2 Assessment of work or classroom activities (50%)
• Class attendance 10%
• Weekly reading logs 10%
• Online participation (In class) 15%
• Online assignments 15%
(Out of class+ self-check)
Total (100%)
NOTE:
* Students attendance will not be counted for the first two weeks. Each
session of the class is counted as 1 point. If students come no later than 15
minutes, they will get 1 point/ session. If they come later than 15 minutes,
they will get 0.5 of a point/ session.
Remarks:
A final grade of F will be given to students who have only a Mid-term
and Final exam score without any formative scores (class attendance,
online participation, online assignment scores) at the end of the
course.
