includes the following:
•Learning and developing skills to maintain positive relationships in a social and
intimate (such as family) setting
•Learn healthy eating habits, whereby selecting the appropriate healthy meals
to consume in order to maintain the good nutrients needed for our body.
• Participating regularly in physical activity to remain healthy and be fit.

2. Maintaining Developing Positive
Relationships
Students learn ways to develop positive
relationships including making and maintaining
positive friendships that been created with
other peers. This is a skill that every individual
needs to acquire.
Students are encouraged to be
friendly by making friends with
different students. By this
happening, will create a
harmonious environment,
where effective communication
will be applied by everyone
getting along with each other.
By developing and maintaining
positive relationships requires
students to acquire a lifetime
skill. That is taking into
consideration of family
members or peers feelings,
valuing their ideas and accepting
other peoples opinion.
3. Developing Balanced eating Habits
Students learn about the importance of developing and maintaining balanced eating
habits by selecting and choosing what is the most appropriate to maintain a good
health.
By doing this, will allow students to grow and develop into a healthy lifestyle.
By eating appropriate meals from each of food groups, will educate students how
these food groups are good nutrients for the body.
For instance:
• Drinking milk and eating diary such as cheese, promotes strong bones and teeth
• Eating vegetables such as carrots or lettuce promotes a high immune system and
good vision
• Eating meat, chicken or fish is needed to develop and have a strong and healthy
body
4. Participating in Physical Activity
Students are expected to regularly partake in physical activities whenever possible.
Students are promoted to participate in physical activities on a regular basis due to:
• Keeping fit
•Staying active and having energy
• Being healthy – which dramatically decreases the chances of obesity, heart
problems/diseases and long term future illness
• Develop fundamental movement skills such as running, skipping and throwing
5. Identifying Safe and Unsafe
Situations
Students learn to recognise and identify between safe and unsafe environments.
This allows the students to become aware of the surroundings around them.
Students will develop this skill of being able to identify when they find themselves in
danger.
This is a very important life skill that is incorporated from PDHPE.
Students also learn ways to deal when they are in dangerous or unsafe situations.
