 PD/H/PE encourages students to
participate in physical activity at least
three times a week.

 Students learn about the different food
categories and the importance of
having a balanced diet.

4. Growth and Development
 Students become aware of changes
to their body, human sexuality and the
importance of values.

5. Safe Living
 Students learn about pedestrian
safety, passenger safety and safety on
wheels which are emphasized in the
curriculum.

6. Personal Health Choices
 Students learn about the dangers of
drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
Furthermore, students learn about the
importance of making decisions and
peer pressure.
