MyIndyCard is part of the Arkansas Health Care Independence Program. Members can use MyIndyCard to pay their co-pay at the doctors’ office, pharmacy and certain other health offices. This presentation walks members through activating and using their card, and lets them know how to get more information if they have questions.
2. What is MyIndyCard?
MyIndyCard is a card that helps pay
for some of your health care costs.
You will use MyIndyCard at doctors’
offices, hospitals and pharmacies.
MyIndyCard also comes with a free
online account. This is where you can
check on your card’s status. Go to
www.MyIndyCard.org to see your
account.
3. What does MyIndyCard do?
Your MyIndyCard pays for your part
of the cost of visiting the doctor. This
is called your co-pay. Your
MyIndyCard takes care of your
co-pay at the doctors’ office,
pharmacy and certain other health
offices. It will also pay for certain
prescription drugs.
4. How do I use MyIndyCard?
First, you need to make MyIndyCard
active. Go to www.MyIndyCard.org to
activate.
You can also call 1-866-207-3028 and
follow the steps.
When your card is active, you can use it
at your doctor’s office, hospital or
pharmacy. Use your MyIndyCard to pay
your co-pay. Your MyIndyCard must be
in good standing, or it will not work.
5. Where can I use MyIndyCard?
You can use MyIndyCard at doctors’
offices, hospitals or pharmacies that
take your insurance. This is called
“in network.”
Your insurance company has a list of
doctors and hospitals in its network.
You can call your insurance company to
find the places that are in network. You
can also ask your doctor or drug store if
they are in your insurance company’s
network.
6. How do I keep MyIndyCard working?
To keep your card working, you will have to
make a monthly payment. How much you
pay depends on how much money you
make each year. The amount you pay is
written on your monthly statement.
You get your statement in the mail each
month. You can go to www.MyIndyCard.org
to make a payment. You can pay also by
check, cashier’s check or money order. You
will mail this payment to the address on
your statement.
7. What happens if MyIndyCard isn’t working?
If your card isn’t working, you might
have to pay your own co-pay. You
also might have to pay for your
prescription drugs. The only way to
keep MyIndyCard working is to make
your monthly payment on time.
8. How do I get more help?
If you have questions, go to
www.MyIndyCard.org. That’s where a
lot of common questions are
answered. Sometimes, you won’t be
able to find your answer. That’s when
you should call 1-866-207-3028.
A friendly assistant will be able to
help you.
