1. Song Demos history:
1. Big bad Wolf: 3-Chord song I wrote in 5 minutes. Love it, has some potential
as a country song. Recorded at my friend Richie's (Piano-Harmonica)
basement...part of my first recording session with Leigh, (second time I met her).
I made up the bridge part so she could song something...she was cute! Who
knew it would lead to us getting married.
2. Any-youngosayo: Song I wrote and recorded on my cassette recorder. It's a
South Korean phrase.
3. Under the Streets: This is the other song I wrote and then recorded for Leigh
and I first recording session. Big Bad Wolf and this one. Used my V-50 Yamaha
Keyboard. Caught my friend Brian Davidson walking by to play the guitar part he
was in-between giving students guitar lessons at Sam 's Music (recorded in the
store). He can play…one take.
4. I wanted to record a song and try to play slide guitar. I like the lyrics I wrote. I
had Leigh sing backup chorus on multitrack cassette recorder. (Tascam)
5. Song I wrote about the world? Playing around with V-50 keyboard.
6. Leigh saw Japanese gentlemen in Japan at a club with a big cowboy hat on
the dance floor. It inspired her write lyrics for this song. I laid down a couple loops
and used SE-70 Boss guitar effect. Roland MS-1 sampler, me on bass.
7. I showed Leigh some chords on guitar she came back in a week with two
songs, this is one.
8. This is the other she wrote...I sampled the drums...and gave it some bass.
Recorded on Tascam cassette multitrack recorder.
9. My friend Kluch on sax, recorded in his kitchen.
10. I brought the song to Leigh she altered the chorus and recorded it herself on
Roland V-80 digital multi-track recorder.
