1. Pitch
As I said before I’m doing at TLC song Hat 2 Da Back, which basically talks about being different and
not following the norm.
So basically I’m going to go along with this idea by wearing baggy clothes which go along with the
song.
I'm also going to emphasise on different by putting the 3 main characters of the video in a very
awkward situation. 3 black girls in a room full of white people dressed completely different and
standing out as the sort of rebels. There will be shots of the whole class and their expressions
showing how they feel about the girls and their clothes. I will also show the teacher with a not so
happy expression like the children in the class. This is an important shot because the teacher will be
shown again at the end of the video but this time he will be enjoying the music.
Other shots I will be using are of the three girls together as the music plays. Some of the scenes will
have the girls singing their various verses but others will have them just mucking about.
I will also have a shot of one of the main verses done in a ghetto looking area which connotes a
typical hip-hop/rap video scenario.
The thing is though is that even though it is a hip-hop video I would like to go against the whole song
and basically show the girls in dresses at some point of the video just too sort of prove a point?
The final scenes will have different parts of the video all together but then there is a sort of
breakdown during a part of the song and there will be a dance in between during that breakdown.
The song will be cut short so the end of the video will have to be a fade out, which might just end up
being the girls mucking about.
