The author attracted their audience for their pop genre magazine by researching other successful pop magazines to identify common codes and conventions. They included these codes such as using bright colors and featuring a large picture of a young rising pop star on the cover. This would attract the target audience who want to learn more about the featured artist, following conventions they expect from pop magazines.

2. • In order to find out how to attract audience to my magazine, I
researched other pop genre magazines to see what codes and
conventions they have use and see which one is the most common
and effective one is, as I found out what codes and conventions I
need, included them into my magazine so my target audience will be
able to recognise it as it will be what they were expecting.
• In my magazine I used the typical bright colours that are used in a pop
magazine, I used a big picture of a young rising pop star, that would
attract audience who will want to know about her.
